13th Proclamation: [Action]

[Sitting on a bench close to the middle of town is Neliel.  Strangely, her sword, which she usually keeps down at her side, mostly out of sight, is leaning on her shoulder and one knee is up on the bench propping it up.

As people walk past her, she gives them measured glances.  It seems as though she's looking for something...

But what?]

[Gippal's walking by and, like his usually unobservant self, FAILS to spot the creepy arrancar up above him.

However, as he just found his ginormous epic weapon thing, he's got it strapped to his back and is walking merrily back to his place]

[Nel sees that, and her interest is immediately caught.]

You there! Do you know how to use that weapon?

[bikanel_brat]

[Stops and looks over his shoulder at Nel curiously]

Uuhhh, yeah, duh. I made it.

Care to show me how you use it? [She pops her sword just a bit out of her hilt, in case her meaning isn't obvious.]

[bikanel_brat]

[Laughs at this]

I make a point of not damaging beautiful ladies~ [A polite, yet somehow devil-may-care, expression stretches his face for a moment]

Oh, you don't have to worry about that...

[She seems to blur out of existence for a moment, then she's abruptly behind him, sword completely drawn.] I don't damage easily.

[He's used to speedy women with blades, the Al Bhed are kinda famous for it.

But, nonetheless, they're not quite THAT speedy. He whistles in appreciation, slinging his weapon down into a 'ready' position in his hands] Alright girly, you down with bullets?

[She's a bit faster than Rikku, yes.]

Bullets, hmm? Sounds like one of my superior's weapons. Let's try it.

[bikanel_brat]

[Grins, flicking a switch on his 50-in-one-gun causing a low hum to fill the air]

Alright, we might wanna get outta this town before we blow it to pieces, yeah? [Takes off, quickly gaining speed as he heads towards the nearest bit of forestry]

[She follows right behind him, her smile widening. She hasn't fought gun users much before.]

[He enters the tree range shortly, and apparently considers the trees his signal to attack for, as he dashes into the shadows he leaps into the air and spins around so he's stretched out in mid-air with his gun aimed at Nel.

a short second later, about five quick shots are fired directly at her]

[She braces herself against the ground and moves her sword to block the shots that she can, deflecting one bullet, sliding away from another, and knocking a third into the fourth. The fifth bullet strikes home, crashing into her shoulder, but Arrancar skin is incredibly strong. It hurt her, but it doesn't penetrate like it would on a human.

Appreciative of his long-range capabilities, she decides to demonstrate her own. As she turns to face where he lands, her mouth widens and she gathers in energy, then fires a massive Cero energy blast at him.]

[.........There are two things one can do with energy blasts, dodge them, or shoot an even stronger energy blast at it and hope they asplode.

Gippal's not fast enough to dodge, but he DOES have lasers, that low humming suddenly becomes a deafening 'wwwwwwWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO-Zz-Z-Z-ZAP!' as the three prongs at the top of his gun fire three arcing blasts of laser mortars to meet this strange new force coming towards him]

[She hadn't expected that, and as it happens, Cero's are explosive. The result when they collide? A blast large enough to cover pretty much the entire area between the two combatants. Knocked back by the resulting shockwave, Nel almost falls on her backside, but manages to turn it into a relatively graceful backwards roll.]

[His last thoughts before getting BLOWN HEAD OVER HEELS is a short, "Oh bugger"]

UuuuUUUWWWOWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! [Fortunately, his combat training kicks in and he manages to tumble into a more coordinated landing as he skids across the dirt for several feet on his leather combat shoes before grinding to a stop and eying the impressive crater with no little awe]

[She stares at the result of the explosion in between them for a few moments before looking back up at him.]

That... was very impressive.
