Name: The Protagonist/Alpha
Bio: Before Edgar headed out into space, The Protagonist (Or Alpha, as you are able to name him since he doesn't remember his original name), was his only true friend. To be specific, Alpha was the only man Edgar really trusted with everything. His secrets, his life - anyone else would probably have gotten the cold shoulder.
After rebirth by Edgar's hands, for awhile, Alpha was Edgar's friend once more, and things were good. As time went by and Edgar grew more and more dissatisfied with the fact that this Alpha was just something Edgar had created and not the original person, Edgar was unable to treat Alpha as the man he was modeled after, and saw him as a cheap facsmilie who was nothing like the friend he once knew. He lashed out at him when Alpha attempted to stop Edgar from unmaking the world he had created, screaming at him that he wasn't real, among other things.
After they lost their memories, Alpha and Edgar were friends again. But Edgar's obsession to find out who the woman in his locket was and what connection she had to him drove them apart, much more so after Edgar found out the truth.
In this Edgar's timeline, Alpha has not yet discovered the truth of the world and his own origins. Edgar would, normally, be shifting rapidly between keeping him from finding out the truth, tauntingly giving him important pieces of the past, or outright trying to destroy him. However, now that Edgar has discovered the nexus, he feels much more disconnected from his hatred for the copy. Whenever he thinks about him too much, though, the hatred flares up again.
Despite insinuations otherwise, Edgar still desperately misses the original Alpha.
Alpha is one of the only two people able to match Edgar's power level and skill with the dust. Though Alpha isn't really apt to make buildings and such like Edgar will, in a fight with the dust, Alpha and Edgar are almost evenly matched.
Name: Freia
Bio: Freia was Edgar's girlfriend before he left, and was looking close to being more.
After Edgar and Alpha beat each other into unconsciousnes (After Alpha and Freia's rebirth, naturally), Freia sealed them away, intent on not letting them learn the truth. Edgar's determination and Freia's complete devotion to him, however, made her tell him what had come before, but was still dead set on not letting Alpha find out what the truth of the world was.
Edgar doesn't feel a real connection to the copy of Freia, neither love nor hate. More that she is a medium through which the most important memories and reminders of Edgar's past life flow. Edgar's most important memory is that of a long, spiraling tower, where he and the original Freia were together last before he left. He values this memory more than anything else he has.
He sometimes wishes that he could have feelings for the copy like he did for the original, to make his loneliness easier.
Now that Edgar has discovered the nexus, he has an even greater disconnect with the copied Freia. Like the 'real' Alpha, however, he wants the original Freia back so very much.
Freia is the second person with as much power and skill over the dust as Edgar. She displays fantastic control over it, which may be due to her practicing it often after Edgar and Alpha were sealed away. When her emotions are riled up - over Edgar, always - she can sometimes even surpass his strength by sheer determination and force of will.
