Character name: Chloe Smith
Character age: 17
Character grade (junior or senior): Junior
Character gender: Female
Werewolf, vampire, or human: Vampire
Appearance (a celebrity to relate to can be handy): Chloe had red-orange hair. Her eyes were once green, but now are the yellow color of a vegetarian vampire. She's about 5 ft 6in. Personality: Chloe's cheerful. She has a big heart and is loyal. People sometimes use her ebcause she's so trusting.
Backhistory: Chloe was born to Resa and Jason Smith in Chicago. Her father left them when Chloe was 10. She won't talk about him to anyone. When she was 15, her mother adopted Rebecca Johnsten, and the two girls became great friends. A year later, Resa was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 36.
Rebecca left for a while to visit Italy, and came back when Chloe was 20. Except, when Chloe was 17, she was bitten by a vampire, but she refused to leave her mother, so she struggled. Rebecca helped her, and the two communicated each other whenever Becky left to travel.
Resa died of cancer at the age of 47, and Chloe moved in with Rebecca. For an 11-year-old vampire, Chloe was doing very well, and was disgusted whenever she heard of an attack on a human.
First-person sample:
I stared at my mother's pale form. Her face had been so full of laughter, her eyes so bright. Now her mother's face was hollow, her haird dead and wispy looking, her eyes dull.
"Please mom! Let me do it! I don't want to lose you! Becky's coming. She'll...she'll help."
Mom shook her head. "No Chloe. If I let you, I'd look like this forever. I'd be a wretched sight. Please Chloe. Don't hate me for my choice."
"I don't hate you mom. I never will." Though that doesn't mean I understand why you won't let me change you.
I had been trying to convince my mother to allow me to change her. But Resa wouldn't let either of us daughters change her.
"I'm going to meet Becky in the lobby. She'll be here soon," I muttered.I left the room and waited. When I saw my sister come into the hospital, her golden eyes frantic, I waved her over.
"Oh Chloe," Becky muttered. "I knew this day was coming. Did you have any luck?"
"No Becky. Mom still refuses. But I hate having to watch her die when i know she doesn't have to!"
Becky hugged me. "I know it's hard Chloe, but we'll get through this."
I only nodded, hoping she was right.
Third-person sample:
Chloe led Becky to Resa's room. Resa smiled at them both. "You look lovlier than the last time I saw you Rebecca."
Becky gently hugged her foster mother. "I don't know why you won't let us change you mom."
Chloe sat on a chair as Becky talked to Resa. Chloe felt like her world was ripping apart, stitch by stitch. She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't realize her sister stopped talking to Resa and was sitting by her.
When morning came, Resa beckoned them over. "Make me proud girls. make something of your life." She closed her eyes and her breathing stopped.
"No!" Chloe shrieked. "Mom!" Becky was staring, her eyes wide.
"Becky, we can save her!" Chloe said. "We must! I don't care if she doesn't want us to!"
'it's too late Chloe. Don't you see? Her heart's stopped. There's nothing to pump the venom. It won't work on the...on the dead."
Chloe let out a wail and fell sobbing dry sobs. Her world had finally burst apart. The last thread removed from her once perfect life.
