[Since staying in the house is awfully awkward at the moment, Natalia has wandered outside for a walk. With an umbrella in hand, she crosses the bridge over towards the center of town, her current destination being the library

[Natalia isn't the only one out wandering around in the rain-- Emil is out for a walk with Sial, the chimera bounding happily through any puddles in his path. When he spots Natalia, he wanders over to sniff at her shoes and see just who this new person is.]

[With her eyes lowered as they are, she stops in time to not step on the little chimera, taken aback that the little creature is out and about. At least it seems friendly.]

[Fortunately, Emil isn't far behind, and he comes racing up to make sure Sial isn't being a bother. But Sial being Sial, he's just whoring for pettings and attention as usual.]

I'm sorry... don't worry, he doesn't bite or anything. He's just curious.

[Aww, no bother. She was just surprised.]

Does he belongs to you?

Yes, he's my chimera-- his name is Sial.

[At the sound of his name, Sial chirps happily.]

[She kneels to scritch Sial under the chin. He's rather sweet.]

Hello Sial. [And now to look up.] And how might you be?

[ratatosk_knight]

[Sial will just be purring and squinting his eyes in bliss as she does this. Yeah, he's pretty easily pleased.]

I'm sorry-- I'm Emil. And you're...

[He thinks he met her before once, but he can't remember her name.]

[Awwwww. She stands after a moment to extend a hand to Emil.]

My name is Natalia. A pleasure to meet you, Emil.

[Emil looks at the hand for a moment before remembering that you're supposed to shake it; he'll take it and give it a slightly hesitant shake.]

It's nice to meet you too, Natalia. Have you been here for very long?

[He's trying to gauge whether or not he has in fact met her before.]

Not too long. A little more than a month now, I believe.

What about you?

[At this, he pauses and looks away slightly.]

... two years.

O-Oh... that is quite a long time. [Sorry Emil!]

N-no, it's... it's okay, I'm used to it by now. It's really not so bad here when there isn't an experiment going on.

I suppose, the village is quite peaceful. And the residents are all very friendly and willing to assist one another.

You must know quite a bit about this world then.

I guess so, but I still get surprised by things even after two years. It's hard to tell what the Malnosso are going to do next when it comes to experiments.

They do seem to keep everyone here on their toes. It is frustrating to see my friends suffer.
