Isn't it normal to prefer some people to others? Not that it means the team should be divided according to that, but it can't really be helped. Everyone just needs to make an effort.
Well, I mainly meant they aren't making an effort to be a cohesive team so it's not like anyone's getting ostracized. That was middle school. It's gotten a lot better since then; I'm sure Ren's told you about all that. When only a couple of team members are actually making an effort to win it kind of drags the whole team down.
Sounds like Tousei. I mean, I'm really close to Jun-san and Kazu-san, but not to the rest. We mostly formed our twos and threes since middle school, except for those who joined in high school and they ended up sticking in their own group too. When we talk as a team or in between groups, it's always baseball-related; we mostly only talk when we need to.
It's normal, but that doesn't mean it's good... I think. No - how do you say it - no bond, no real team spirit. NIshiura has some very strong team spirit. Maybe it's because they're all the same year and don't have to worry about what will happen when a sempai retires. I... dunno. :-X
(Is there a particular reason you're trying to imitate this Oda's Kansai accent? It's cool, sure, but it's a bit weird when you don't do it right. Not that I can, but... it feels weird, reading it.)
I guess it makes sense that it'd be different if everyone was in the same year. Thanks for the insight; I'll keep in mind that it's not just my team that's not strongly bonded. (Well, a few of us are.) I'll try not to let it get to me.
... Yeah, about that. Oda said it was hard for him to understand everyone and suggested I try learning to speak "proper-like." Which I think means more Kansai. So I'm just trying it out for him.

Maybe I'm expecting too much.
