General: Okay, so the Tag Someone New meme from a few weeks back was pretty much the best thing that could've happened for me, and I really wish we did more stuff like that. I'm discovering as time goes on that I'm a lot more interested in the memes that can have in-game ramifications than I am the fluffy ones, since they're fun while still being constructive. Ditto goes to character development ones like the Colorstrology or Five Things or bunches of others... Which is a shame, since most people don't tag into those ones. Regardless, Tag Someone New made me really happy, and I've already threaded with four new characters thanks to it, helping me feel a lot better about where I am with the game as a whole.

Kate Bishop
General: Quiet, which a year ago, I honestly wouldn't have thought possible. She's in no real danger of going anywhere, though, so I'm not all that worried -- especially when I know why she's gone quiet. My goal for next month is for her to meet more of the people who spoke up in the meme and expand her social circle a bit more, and definitely do a full reread of canon. (And yes, it makes me laugh that I can actually do this for her in a reasonable amount of time, unlike, say, Peter, whose canon I'm still reading for a first time.) Also, I might phase out the bolding style. I don't know. I'm trying it out.

Relationships: She'll have been with Nate for a year come April, I believe. I want to say the third, since that is Jenny's birthday, but it's whenever the White Party was held last year that they got together. Kat, we should do something for them, Y/Y?

Hush Plot: Only if I can put her in some traumatizing scenario to go along with it, otherwise there's no real point for her, much as I love, love, love the idea of this plot.

Time Loop Plot: I'll have to think on this one a bit. A part of me wants to have her go back to fight off the dude that assaulted her, but that involves actually creating some sort of canon for that moment, which I'm hesitant to do, especially with Heinberg back at the writer's desk soon.

Peter Parker
General: Ha. Ha ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I don't even know where to start, honestly. I got Mod approval to start improving the Island's medical supplies, and once Scott and I finish (well, start) this thread to set it up IG, there'll be a post in slated for people to chime in. In short, COMING SOON TO AN ISLAND NEAR YOU: AN OPERATING ROOM, BITCHES (AND ASSORTED OTHER THINGS).

Relationships: Peter got engaged! I didn't want him to! At all! To which Laine can attest, since I was IMing her throughout with pros and cons and canon evidence, which weighed heavily in favour of spur-of-the-moment proposals following periods of identity crisis. I have never so vehemently disagreed with a character choice in my entire time as a roleplayer, I swear to God.

Fortunately, however, it's a long engagement by necessity of the fact that the dude wants to be able to stand up at his own goddamn wedding. This is nice, because in the comics, Pete got engaged in one issue, and married in the next. He's happy, though, so that's something.

Hush Plot: Yes, definitely. I have vague ideas. So vague, in fact, that I don't know what they are.

Time Loop Plot: There are so many options for this one, man. I am, like, a kid in a freaking candy store of delicious, delicious angst. As I was saying to Laine, I think it'd be super interesting for Pete to have to go back to try to save Uncle Ben only to realize that he has to let him die. So he kept saving him and saving him and then, eventually, he'd just realize that Uncle Ben had to die in order for him to learn his lesson.

So that will happen sometime in the future. I'm thinking, though, that he'll go by himself, because the way I'm envisioning this is very specific, and no one else has to be there. I'd much rather for his friends to have to pick up the pieces afterward.

Jamie Madrox
General: He joined the IPD, which is exciting on many levels, and gave me a lot more plot than I anticipated. He's quietly investigating into the disappearances to see if there's any predictable pattern to them, but more than that, it's the first healthy step he's made towards an actual recovery from his suicide attempt back in September. And he likes Alistair thus far, so yay for a friend who is male!

Relationships: Layla, Layla, Layla. Since his disastrous attempt to act on his ~feelings~ during Mardi Gras and the subsequent discussions afterward, he is back to maintaining a purely platonic relationship with her, and will likely not instigate anything anytime soon. That said, Mala and I have started a thread where Layla's going to force him to get over his issues with water, so God only knows how that'll pan out.

Hush Plot: Yes, because Jamie was once a circus clown, so I'm sure he's picked up some mad miming skills. Also -- Melly, I think it'd be really sort of awesome to do a thread with him and Terry during this. On the commentary track for "Hush," Whedon said that it's only when we stop talking that we start communicating, and I can't help but wonder if that would hold true for them.

Time Loop Plot: Uh, yeah. Not absorbing Sean the Baby Dupe seems the obvious choice, but there are a few things from earlier canon that could prove interesting, too, like how he contracted the Legacy Virus, for example, or even saying yes to the Registration Act instead, since that's where all his current problems started. Things to think about, I guess.

Future

BENJAMIN LINUS, BITCHES. I have no idea for a canon exit point thus far, and will wait until the finale airs to send in my app. Annnnd, that's a wrap for this month, folks.
