Another sleepless night. Another night of unsettling dreams and grueling thoughts afflicting him and keeping him awake, making him toss and turn. All these memories. Eyes wide open Rush stared blankly at the dark, metal ceiling, trying to shut out the pictures flashing through his mind.
"Focus, Nicholas. Focus!" he mumbled. "Focus on the essential. This ship. Destiny.."
A grim smile flickered across his tired face. So there he was. This was the place where he always wanted to be - the place where he was supposed to be. But still, he couldn't feel any satisfaction..., or relief. Only this emptiness that weighed so heavily on him.
Gloria...
A faint sigh escaped his lips and he turned on his other side on the uncomfortable bed. Maybe sleep would finally come and soothe the pain for a while.
