A Typical Morning

Greed knew it was a rare thing to get Kimbley to even sleep in the same room with anyone else. Only the fact that the man had allowed himself to drink the night before had made it even remotely possible to convince the man that he should come back to his room with them. It had been a pleasant shock to find out that the man was a cuddler, though even drunk he’d stayed on the far side of the bed until he’d fallen asleep.
Greed had been the first to wake, but it seemed that Kimbley, hangover or no, had decided he’d had enough sleep by the time dawn rolled around. It was rather amusing when the sleepy alchemist shoved out of his hold, effectively jarring their other bedmate awake.
When the slightly disoriented gold eyes focused on him with an intent, predatory stare across the bed sheets, the Sin nearly purred. “Was there something you wanted?”
“Your head on a platter would be a good start.” The alchemist sat up, determinably ignoring the throbbing in his skull in favor of removing himself from easy reach.
Greed cuddled Dorchette closer almost lazily, one hand playing over his spine. "Maybe later Kimbley."
"Mm..." The chimera reacted with the expected, though sleepy response, nuzzling closer into the large man’s touch affectionately.
The sight must not have been very welcome, because the longhaired man nearly stopped mid-stretch to glare. "Perfect way to ruin a good morning."
Dorchette was awake enough that he was tempted to offer a comeback of some sort to that, but the petting left him too lethargic to really care. Instead, he just slid muscular arms around Greed's torso, a contented smile on his face as he pressed his cheek against the sin’s hip and let his gray-blue eyes fall mostly closed.
"What, did you want some attention too?" Lifting his unoccupied hand, Greed extended it to run his fingers over the skin of the human’s ankle, raising an eyebrow at him in the process.
Golden eyes narrowed at the sin as the alchemist jerked his foot away, making it clear he was in no mood to be touched. "The day I want attention from you is the day I give up my explosions. Keep your claws to yourself. Freak."
"No reason to be like that." Greed shook his head with a bemused grin, pulling his hand back to run it through Dorchette's hair instead. "You could have both."
Revulsion was the first recognizable emotion on the alchemist’s face, but it was followed closely by confusion. He only spent a moment trying to work through the logic before he shook off the contemplation, giving the two a dark look.
The chimera quickly tilted his head, oblivious to the lanky man’s dilemma as he focused on making it easier for Greed to run his hand through his hair. "D-doesn't matter," he whispered, "more for me Boss."
Greed just laughed quietly, giving Kimbley a sideways look. "Hmm, I suppose so. Looks like you get all my attention at the moment then, don't you?" He dropped his gaze to the one in his lap, a small smile lingering on his lips out of pure amusement.
"All he needs now is a water bowl and a leash." The comment had a sharp air of observation, and he got to his feet, determined to ignore the pair and spare himself a further headache.
Dorchette, of course, didn't even attempt to meet the sin's gaze when he looked at him, meekly looking to the side as he nuzzled the side of the older being’s throat. "That’s all I want Boss." He did his best to ignore Kimbley; he didn't often get a chance to be the focus of most of Greed’s attention, so he had to savor it while he had it. And in this case... it meant that he had to swallow his snide remarks. A fight would, doubtless, interfere with the attention.
Greed tisked under his breath, head tilting to the side as he lifted slit eyes back to the alchemist, one eyebrow raised challengingly. "Really Kimbley, if you'd admit to wanting something, you might receive it." Though his attention had shifted, the sin hugged the pliant form sprawled over him a bit closer against his chest, pleased when the chimera almost immediately snuggled into the hug, resting his head on his shoulder.
Said alchemist merely rolled his shoulders and waved a hand in dismissal. "My needs are simple and don't involve the material things you like so much. Thanks, but I'll stick to what I already have."
"One of these days I will find something you want Kimbley."
Dorchette gave a small chuckle as he heard that. The Boss always finds out what someone else wants.
"Hopefully by that time one of us will be dead, preferably you."
"Doubtful Kimbley. Very doubtful." Smirking a little, he turned his gaze back to Dorchette, moving his hand to a spot that he knew with enough attention would get him an almost purr of a growl in reward for his efforts.
"Almost... impossible Boss." The chimera's eyes narrowed as he accepted the petting; he had no idea why Greed was being so conciliatory, but he certainly wasn't going to complain.
"Only almost." Greed flicked his gaze to the human in amusement, seeing if he would take up the challenge.
Kimbley’s annoyance over the scene was clear as he flexed his hands, obviously contemplating the idea of using the arrays on his palms. He even went so far as to press his hands together before he took a long look at Greed and dropped them to his sides with a vicious scowl.
The look of utter frustration that crossed the alchemist's face was enough to satisfy him on that score for a while longer. It was terribly fun to bait the human, but at the moment he had a nice distraction in his lap that he wanted to pay more attention to. He could play with Kimbley later.
Dorchette watched the interaction from under his lashes, frowning slightly as the alchemist stalked from the room, not even bothering to close the door behind him. He had that nagging feeling that Greed was just using him to get Kimbley jealous... but that was all right. He had all the Boss’ attention this morning, and that was enough. It was certainly something nice to wake up to.
