Oh Weekend Fun

I had a pretty awesome weekend. On Friday Alan, Greg, and I went to see Six Degrees of Separation at a theater I had never been to in the South Side. I was quite satisfied with the performance and felt they did justice to one of my favorite all time plays. Six Degrees is one of those plays that sparks hours long discussions and it did not fail to do so Friday night when we all went to Mad Mex afterwards. It was quite a pleasant evening.

Saturday was the longest day I have had in a long time. I'm not saying that in a bad way. It was just very full. The new girl (Erin) Alan is interested in came over and we all (including Greg since he was in Pittsburgh for the weekend) played games for hours. It was the most fun I have had in a long time excluding crazy karaoke nights...so I guess the most fun excluding alcohol I have had in a long time. Jeremy came over for dinner which actually turned out quite nicely. I got to use my matching plates, glasses, and utensils for company for the first time! It was pretty exciting to me.

Then we all went to a bar we had found through googling "Pittsburgh Saturday karaoke." Tramp's in West End. It was the straightest bar I have ever been to. True Steelers country there. Greg, Erin, and I shared three pitchers of Yuengling. Alan had three amaretto on the rocks, and Jeremy was designated driver for the night and faithfully stayed as sober as a brick. When we all got back home I think everyone but Jeremy was pretty well sloshed. There was dancing, more drinking, strip shows, girl talk, "never have I ever..", and sufficient amounts of drama for all involved. I think I'm in love with Erin. *wink* No, I just think she's a truly amazing girl, and I can't wait to get to know her more. Overall, it was a satisfying night.

Sunday was Chipolte and long discussions with Jeremy about Saturday night. Alan and I went to Erin's birthday get together at the Squirrel Hill Cafe to make an appearance and wish her well. It was a low key ending to a lovely weekend.

Now back to wedding planning and sorting out my mind until next weekend. Wheeeeeeeee!
