As the man crosses the square, hurrying in the rain, she gets the impression that he's more like her than most other people she's met.

She watched the man carefully, trying to figure him out a bit. As she does, he can feel that he is being watched by someone.

He looks about to see who it is, while still hurrying for cover from the rain.

He can find cover under a tree for a moment. He sees an eighteen year old Ellie watching him before she blushes and looks away.

He stands under the tree for a moment, watching her back. Then he approaches her.

"It's a bit strange to be sitting out in the rain, isn't it?"

She smiles at him. "Only if one does not have an umbrella."

[atty_from_hell]

He looks up at the rainy sky. "It's starting to let up. Besides, I'm from England. I'm used to rain."

[forgotten_ellie]

"I thought all people from England carried an umbrella on their person though," Ellie says with a smile. "And yes, it is. I'm Ellie."

[atty_from_hell]

"In England, yes, but we are in Boston. It was such a nice day this morning. American weather is odd." He smiles. "Mike. Are you thinking of coming here as a student?"

[forgotten_ellie]

"It is well enough," she says about the weather. "I am going to be coming here in the fall. I just have to meet with all sorts of different people and figure out if I might want to just live out here until the fall."

"It's a good school. That's an advantage. Where are you looking at living until then?"

[forgotten_ellie]

"In all truth, I don't really know," she says. "That's why I'm looking around the area."

[atty_from_hell]

"I hope you find something."

[forgotten_ellie]

"Thank you," she says and smiles. "What do you study?"

[atty_from_hell]

"I'm a law student. What are you thinking of studying?"

[forgotten_ellie]

"I'm not sure. One doesn't come to Harvard to study music, I don't think."
