Bear with me.
So on Saturday, me and Pat met up with a drug dealer and discovered the dark underbelly of Hacienda Heights.
The guy's name was Joseph. I have no idea of the validity behind his tales.
When he came to heights in the seventh grade he was jumped by 15 seniors cuz he came from a gang called Suderno(sp?). After one year, he beat up every one of those 15 seniors. Now the neigborhood he lives in is being contested by two gangs - the HappyHomes and VarioTresse(sp?). At first he tried to play things equally with both gangs; spending equal amounts of time with both of em to keep things neutral. Eventually it got to a point where he was spending more time with Vario than with the HappyHomes and the homes didn't like this. So he's been stabbed twice, shot at 4 times, all within the vicinity of wilson high. He carries a gat and he's 17. He gets his teachers high. He jacks cars, he sells coke, he has connections everywhere - from albertsons workers to the dmv.
Anyways, we end up buying purple haze from a friend of his. We had to run off and drive around the block the first time we dropped by cuz there were people with shotguns driving around in a black van.
Joseph was dropped back at his party and me and Pat smoked that purple haze.
On Sunday I decided to bring my laptop and tablet with me to Starbucks. I sat and painted my environs. I normally wouldn't even mention these trivial sort of things but Sunday was special. Finally, and I mean finally, I got a couple of girls to compliment my artwork (usually they'd be random guys). Apparently colours draw more attention than linework.
Afterwards, more purple hazing, this time with David.
Monday was the same routine. Drew and got high.
On Tuesday I drove to the LA zoo. Connie had called me the day before. We were supposed to have a fun day of much drawing and painting with our fellow art center students. There were 8 of us. Me, Connie, Eun-mi (Korean girl from my painting class), Kirk (Hawaiian Japanese guy), KC (Japanese fifth termer), Mike (white fourth termer from the OC), Omar-jon (student from Turkey), and Kyun (who left early). We ended up hiking a bit in griffith park and painted at some random campground auditorium. We got Korean food and boba at Koreatown. Then we parted ways, vowing to meet up at the beach or somewhere else next week.
Today I didn't do much of anything. Stayed home and took care of various things that needed to be taken care off.
