I'll be brief cuz I don't have much time.
Let's see...on Tuesday I got up at 12:30, realized I wouldn't have enough time to finish my paper, decided to skip my Illustration Now! lecture class at 2 (it's zero units anyways), finished my paper, drove to school, turned in my paper, got bored and left school, stayed in traffic for an hour and a half, got to Patrick Serrano's house, went to Puente Hills mall, got annoyed with capitalism, drew at Borders, ate at Boston Cafe, went to Fern's house to get silly high and watched THX1138. It was a really weird movie. I had no idea what they were saying but there were bald people and sex and monkey things. It reminded me of "The Island," only the movie ends when the protagonist escapes the facility and sees the real world for the first time.
Oh, did I mention it was a wet, wet day? Girls never notice when I'm drawing, only guys (and weird ones at that)...I am saddened.
Yesterday...Wednesday..right? Anyways yesterday, I went to my Painting and Composition class. On the way to class, I saw Connie walking across the school bridge. She was skipping painting to work on homework but told me that she was still on for Korean BBQ if I wanted to go. Of course, I accepted.
My Dutch painting teacher believes me to be a true artist, the "real deal" he says. I have no idea what he's talking about, but he's an interesting guy and a good teacher, so I just say "thanks!(...)"
Afterwards I meet up with Connie and friends. We decided that only two cars were necessary cuz of the restaurant's valet parking. There were 8 of us in all: 4 from my painting class, 3 I didn't know, and me.
The restaurant was in Koreatown, a big, noisy, semi-outdoorish place decorated with Christmas lights (kinda like a hookah place but it blasted K-pop/rizock instead of middle eastern pizzazz). It was called Manna or something. There was meat, so much meat it was ridiculous. Meat, rice things, kymchee, meat, salad, miscellaneous appetizer things, and meat. To drink, there was water, some kind of Korean beer, and Soju (which was like absolut vodka, I'm told, but smoother). good times were had. good times. I don't remember how many cheers were raised, but I must have had 6 or 7 shots. Surprisingly I didn't get drunk. The meat must have helped.
We spent about 2 hours there.
By the end of the night, I had made a Korean drinking buddy. Damn she can drink...I think she had 9 or 10 shots of that soju stuff, but anyways, she's supposed to take me to some Korean bar some time.
Our designated drivers..(haha), drove us back to school, and from there we parted ways. I went home and crashed.
Today is Thursday. I do homework today.
