Tonight I got to see the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, for free. It was pretty sweet. The second segment of the program included three Tufts-themed songs performed by Tufts a cappella groups, as it was Tufts alumni night. After that, it was all baseball-themed. Not caring about baseball, it wasn't amazing, but it was still quite amusing. I was really looking forward to them performing "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" though, which was supposed to be the finale, and instead they performed "Stars and Stripes Forever". Which I respect, but I really wanted to hear how they arranged a Dropkick Murphys song for band and choir. Oh well. But now I've seen both the BSO and the Pops, so that's sweet.
Also, they recognized a 100 year old alumni. At first they just shined the light at a table in the front row, and Keith Lockheart was gesturing to one guy there, who was gesturing back "Not me." Then, after a minute or so, a man started slooooowly standing up, with help from those around him, and then he slooooowly took off his jacket, revealing a baseball jersey with "Big Papi" and "100" on it. He turned around and faced everybody, and shook his hands over his head, turned back and showed them the back of his jersey again, then repeated it. It was cute.
I still haven't seen THE POLICE though. Ughhhhh.... My life isn't complete.
I got hired at Daddy's, and next week have paid training in Manchester, and they will also pay for my MILEAGE and MEALS. I am going to eat go out to eat for every meal. I'm really excited. Really. This is going to be great.
Also, surprise, IMDB actually did allow my review. I made it a little less cutting.
