So yesterday, right before I woke up for work, Katie texted me to tell me she was in labor and at the hospital! I went to work, excited all day, and then after work, around 7, I headed up to the hospital! She looked so tired.. So did Luke! By the time I had gotten there, they had given her the epidural and her water had already broken. It was just a matter of time. We watched a little bit of Forrest Gump (lol) and asked the nurse a lot of questions. Around 8, they tested her for pushing and she was good to go! I waited in the waiting room with Angela, the God-Father Nick, and his fiance Kayla. We all took our bets on the baby.. Weight, length, time of birth.. We also bonded with the ton of people who were in there for ONE girl. They had been there since the night before. Around 9:45, Nick and Kayla left, so Angela and I hung out in the waiting room just talking and catching up with each other because life has been getting in the way of us really hanging out lately! Which I'm sure is what to expect once the twins are born! LOL Anyway, around 10:45, Luke came bouncing into the waiting room to tell us that she had Aidan! He was 7 lbs even and born at exactly 10:30pm! About an hour (Recovery time.. I learned a lot from the questions!) after that, the nurse came to get us! Oh my gosh, he is the sweetest thing ever!! He is so small! Sooooo cute! He has little dimples and strawberry blond hair, just like Luke! I think a lot of his face though is Katie. Anyway, he is ADORABLE! I can't believe he is finally here! I held him, took some pictures, and then the nurse gave him his first bath! Oh, his little cries were so cute! Katie did so great.. When we got back in there, she was wide awake, just hungry! After they got Aidan set back up after his bath, Angela and I went to get food for all of us @ IHOP! We came back, ate, Katie's Mom came back, and then we left! He is so so adorable! I love him already!
