Things are looking brighter on my side of the world, and I like it :) Mr. Powell has been more tolerable this past week, and Ms. Witten has been better too.
Homecoming was lots of fun. I thought I looked very pretty, and a lot of my friends were there. I didn't find a date, but I kinda picked one up when I got there. About 1/3 of the way into the dance one of my aquaintances from my history class came over to our group and started dancing with me. I didn't mind, and he ended up dancing with me the rest of the evening. It was weird because he and I almost never talk at all. We recognize that eachother is there as a human being, but other than that...never. His name is Donte. He's black, but I have had a recent fascination with black men, so I'm not complaining one bit. :)
(I hope i didn't offend anyone by saying black instead of African American. I'm sorry if I did.)
Anyway, we went on a date yesterday. We went and saw "Ju On: The Grudge." That movie is so scary, but it's delightfully weird. I haven't been scared that much in a long time, and it was lots of fun. He behaved himself, which I was slightly worried about due to other people's warnings, but, he was a good kid. About 15 minutes into the movie I was getting really really freaked out, and so he kept asking if i was ok, and naturally I said I was fine. I kept jumping, so finally, he said, "C'mere," took my hand, and held it for the rest of the movie. He eventually moved the arm rest between us, but I didn't mind. his hands stayed where they belonged. He has nice hands...strong, gentle, soft...I expected rough hands, but his were nice. He plays in the marching band drum line, so the strength doesn't surprise me. Him holding my hand made me feel a little less scared, but I sat for the first 30 seconds wondering if it was ok to let him do that.
Anyway. I'll stop rambling about my date. Ask questions if you so choose.:-P
Hm..what else to talk about. Oh. I disassembled and reassembled an M16 at ROTC on Thursday. I will learn how to I was so scared of the gun, but I still had fun. Caleb took his apart and reassembled it in 5 minutes, 28 seconds. He's good...cute too. Very....very...cute.
*sigh* anything else?
Don't think so...
