I love textbooks. They can be quite entertainingly enlightening now and then...this is an except that really had me laughing.
"The word hacker originally referred to a person with a high level of computer expertise, but now the term usually describes a person who gains access to computer systems illegally. EXPERTS PREFER THE TERM CRACKER FOR PERSONS ENGAGING IN ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES."
I really must celebrate my higher education for informing me of this term. I thought, when in reference to a person rather than a food, it meant something completely different. Ha.
