File #1 [Arrival]

[The communicator has been turned on, and its activation is not accompanied by a declaration of anger or fear, but merely puzzlement.]

Well, this is new. Can’t say I’m not used to smuggling rings shipping people out, but they don’t usually take pains to keep you comfortable. Or leave the door unlocked.

[Bryn was hung over, but not so much that she couldn't help a new passenger who at least had been kind enough to not scream over ShipNET.]

You're on a ship fulla crazy people, but there's free food and free room n'board and what not, so it's not so bad.

[Food sounded good right about then, honestly. A trip to the buffet might be in order. Bryn vaguely recalled hearing someone talking about ponk while she was waking up.]

[At least someone is talking. And food? Food? Gunnar could dance for this lady right now. His tone is still wary when he speaks though, because I mean really...]

I'm gonna want to hear about these crazy people more, but where's the free food?

Mm, you'll hear about them from all sorts of people I'm sure.

Deck four has a buffet, or if you're in the mood for Japanese, the Kuma-ko is on deck eight. The bears are totally friendly though so don't freak out alright? If you're lucky you could also catch Zeke or Herz in Sergei's on ten...they're passengers but they'll cook for anyone if you ask nicely.

[The thought of sushi didn't appeal however, and Bryn grabbed some clothes intending to head for the buffet.]

anyone who wants to run into him should tag here.... before Bryn eats him. forgivemesister January 10 2010, 23:51:09 UTC
Oh great.

[...Bears.]

...Right, bears, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

[And Gunn decides to brave the deck four buffet, because he hasn't eaten in 24 hours and he's really, really hungry. So, carefully cautious, he leaves his room, noting the number and the deck number, and heads to the buffet.

He arrives there soon enough, a man with a purpose, glancing around at anyone whose in there but not talking to them just yet. For all he knows its some kind of floating crazy house.]

[Good deed done for the day, Bryn got dressed. King was still sleeping in her bed, and rather than wake him, she scribbled a quick note and left it on her pillow.

"Went to the buffet to grab some food. If you stick around I'll bring you back some. --Bryn"

She exited the room quietly and made her way up to the buffet. Sunglasses might have been nice, as the light was a bit much for her at first, but she managed to make it there in one piece. Thank god for elevators.

Once she arrived, Bryn only had eyes for the food and headed straight for the to-go cartons by the plates.]

[Gunn's also at the food when he notices someone else bypass the plates and head for the to-go cartons. Curiosity and paranoia makes him look up, and when he does he stops. And stares.

That's Bryn. That's his sister, Brynhildr, the one he's been looking for for the last 15 years, looking like she hasn't aged at all.

Gunnar doesn't even have words right now, to see her just casually picking up to-go boxes after being missing for so long.

Maybe he's wrong. He's pretty sure he's wrong, but he calls to her.]

Brynhildr?

[Bryn recognized the voice as the one belonging to the new guy she'd just talked to, but she was pretty sure she hadn't introduced herself.

She looked over to the guy and blinked, brow furrowed. She certainly didn't introduce herself as "Brynhildr" to anyone. Just Bryn.

Her brain was stalled. The guy looked vaguely familiar but it could have been someone she saw in passing while blitzed out of her mind last night.]

...yes? How do you know my name?

[....She doesn't recognize him, not that he's surprised, but.]

I would think I should know your name, considering I'm your brother.

[Pause.]

Its me. Gunnar.

[Bryn could feel all the blood draining from her face, staring at the man in front of her. The eyes. They were the same. He was familiar because he was Gunn. Somehow.

He was alive. The Captain had brought him on board.

Her hands clenched into fists and Bryn's entire focus was on Gunnar. She'd told Blitz not all that long ago that she was sad she hadn't had the chance to kill her family herself, and now he'd gone and given her the opportunity.

Now he had the gall to just stand there talking to her calmly like it was no big deal? Bryn hissed through her teeth.]

Traitor. Get away from me.

[Food was completely forgotten. She spun around and moved to exit the buffet.]

[Gunn's a smart guy; he wasn't expecting Bryn to be hugs and kisses over meeting him again. Watching the blood drain from her face, however, is an interesting expierience because he knows its his fault, and hearing the hate in her voice is interesting too.

But he can't let her walk away; he has to explain. He follows after her, reaching out to catch her arm.]

No -- Bryn, let me explain what happened!

[No, no no nonono. He can't be here. He can't. Bryn was filled with panic and rage all at once. Conflicting desires, different gut reactions, all vying to make their way to the surface first.

Bryn smacked Gunn's hand away with a scream.]

Don't you dare touch me!

[She ran from the buffet. She couldn't think. She couldn't process. Her mind was flooded with memories of the past, all things she'd tried to forget now that she was happy on board. Goddammit, she'd been happy!]

[The instant she smacks his hand away and screams at him, Gunn immediately steps back. People are probably looking at him, and he spares a grimace at the thought of the crazy people seeing this. Only for a couple of seconds, however, and he's running out of the buffet after her.

Gunn is a dog with a bone, and he's not going to let it go, not without talking to her first.

So chasing Gunn will go after his sister. He's doing a decent job of catching up, shouting her name.]

Bryn! Bryn!

[He was chasing her? Holy fuck, he was chasing her. The goddamned traitor was chasing her. Bryn growled in the back of her throat even as she ran.]

Leave me alone!

[Dammit. He wasn't lagging behind either. Fine. If he wanted Bryn that badly, he would get her. She ducked into a closet.]

[Damn right he's chasing her, he's persistent. He hears her shout, but at this point he's not going to bother to shout back.

When she ducks into a closet, Gunnar is confused. He slows down his pace to a light jog, and stops it completely when he nears the closet. He's... pretty sure its a closet, and not a set of elevators or a stairwell or a room, so he reaches to try to the doorknob.

He finds it open.]

Bryn?

[He sounds slightly out of breath as he opens the door, expecting to find his sister. What he does not expect is a panther. A very angry looking panther.

Holy shit.]

...Bryn...?

[Bryn shifted much quicker than usual. She had to assume it had to do with her adrenaline, or her anger.

The door opened to the closet, and Bryn saw Gunn there, and growled.

When he spoke, she lunged, swiping at him.]

[No, no, seriously not cool having the cougar-panther-sister-thing swiping at him. Gunn doesn't manage to dodge all the way out of her claws range, and gets his jeans ripped at the knee.

He does not have any way of fighting Bryn off, and really, she's his sister.]

Bryn! Stop!

[But he's still backing away.]
