[Gunn is so, so happy that he's not turning things to rubber anymore. If he didn't eat properly soon, he was going to start trying to chew rubber. And that probably wouldn't have gone over very well.]

Everything back to normal, now? Or at least, as normal as it gets in this place.

[There's the sounds of the sushi bears in the background, since Gunn ( Read more... )

Mmm... Gertie, the little angel.

[.....]

Drusilla.

[His tone is very flat.]

Oh, my, you've learned my name. Now that's just not fair. I don't know yours, love.

The name's Gunn. [It'd be easy enough to find out on ShipNET.]

Stay away from Gertie. I don't want you killing anyone, but especially not harmless little girls.

[Dru has no motivation to play on this 'ShipNET'.]

But they're so much fun. Of course, I can tell from your tone... you've never hunted one, you wouldn't know.

You're in luck, Gunn. It turns out that if I open the throats of angels, our dear captain gets upset. I suppose he likes his angels... intact.

[Gunn makes a disgusted noise.] You're damn right I've never hunted one, and I never will.

That doesn't surprise me; I'd have to say I agree with him on that sentiment.

I wonder how he feels about his savior princes... do you suppose it's the same?

[...have a puzzled yet annoyed Gunn.]

His savior princes?

...The captain doesn't take well to anyone getting killed, or so I hear.

You know... the princes that ride in on horsies to protect the little angels. Or, as the case may be, to carry their bodies away.

This is a shame. To think that I'd thought, with all the despair and death in the veins of this boat, that the captain of it would be a bigger advocate of blood-spill.

[Gunn grits his teeth at her explanation. His tone when he next speaks is barely contained anger.]

I don't think he'd like it if you tried to drain me, yeah. He seems to want us all alive - though I can't imagine why he'd want someone like you on board - for where ever he's taking us.

Don't you know, love? I'm a princess. I don't see a reason the dear captain wouldn't want me on board.

Now... back to the precious Gertie. How is she? Still alive? Is there a scar? I'm so curious... I've never known someone to rise from death in such a manner...

[He scoffs.]

A princess. Right.

[He tenses up when she starts asking about Gertie though.]

She's fine. Its something about the ship - it brings people back from the ...dead. [Thats kind of the first time he's really admitted Gertie died, however briefly.] And you don't need to know anymore than that to stay away from her.

Oh, but dear... she was so delicious. If you'd known that savory taste, you would understand wholeheartedly. The rush of innocent blood over one's lips... makes a singing in one's body that's simply uncontrollable.

But I wouldn't expect you to be able to begin to understand the beauty in such a pleasure. Mortals such as yourself can be so narrow minded sometimes...

[There's a sound like someone slamming their fist into a table, which is exactly what Gunn's done. He doesn't like Drusilla talking like that.]

No. I don't care how amazing you think it is, or how mortal I am, you leave Gertie alone. If I find out you hurt her or anyone else again, I will stop you personally.

[Drusilla chuckles darkly. It's so exciting when someone loses their temper like that. Not to mention somewhat attractive. Spike used to get so violent sometimes...]

Ooh, is that a promise, love? Seems I'm starting to lose interest in the sugary little angel...

[Gunn makes a small noise of irritation, getting it but not wanting to.]

Yeah, its a promise. And just what is that supposed to mean, though losing interest in her is a plus.
