Alright, where was I?
Oh yes, I had only just talked about meeting Tesia and Seth and Maya on the ferry.. and then arriving in the Mad House.
Riiight. Okay. So, the next day (17th) was Mandela's 5th birthday, where unexpectedly we all got dressed up and went about our regular buisness in strange clothing. I met a girl named Tamara who is going to the first week of Power of Hope with me. She seems very nice, but a little strange, I'm sure that there is more to her than meets the eye though..
Seth came to the Birthday Extravaganza and afterwards he and I went to find where Iris, Lily, Chelsea and Cosmo were staying (Come on, the island can't be that big, can it?) So we set out walking... About 20 minutes later we actually found the campsite, strangely enough.. And we ate dinner with the crew, I got to meet the famous Vlademire Shposhnicoff (Pronounced: Vla-de-meer She-posh-ni-cov) Who is Lily's boyfriend, and has the coolest name I have ever heard. I met this strange guy named Callum. He helped me find my way home, as it was dark and I have no idea how to navigate on the island as of yet... We hitchhiked, got into the car of a man named Boscar (I'm loving the names right now) and actually, I met him again a couple days later..
On the 18th I babysat the ickle boys, which was surprisingly easy, all I had to do was read about 20 stories to them and Mandela went straight to sleep, Tunji, on the other hand was not so easy to coax into bed. Ah, well.. You can't win everything.
On the 19th there was a meeting of parents who wanted to organize and daycare type community thing.. and so they all brought their kids, Tamara and I were employed to watch the kids while the parents talked buisness. Cebia, the little child of the house introduced me to Boscar, who just so happens to live on the same land as Maria and David (Ceba's parents).. Although Ceba introduced me as Emmeline.. Which I think is a good name, I may temporarily adopt it... As pay Tamara and I got these shirts/skirts/dress things (a sleeveless long shirt that can be worn as a skirt) I quite love mine.
On the 20th the market was on, and so we went to that.. It was very full and I bought mum's birthday prezzies, a really yummy chocolate, some yarn and a very tasty ginger cookie. Then later on Tamara and I went to music fest, which was very very fun. Got semi-stalked by a random guy named Adam..
On the 21st we all just bummed around the house and today, the 22nd was mum's birthday. Today was a little hard, she was being testy, and I was trying very very hard to be nice. But then whenever she was nice, I was testy.. As is the way with us.. Gave her her prezzies at about 11:30pm, I sort of forgot... haha.. But other than that it has been an okay day.
I'm tired and going to go to bed now
