[It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a really...big fuzzy creature in the air. Aang cares not for all the flowers and plants down on the ground. He's sailing through the sky, sitting by Appa's head.]

I can't wait for everyone to see you again, Appa! [Smiles happily and lets go of the reigns for a moment so he can hug some of that fuzzy goodness.] It ( Read more... )

[Okay so when the wild growing flowers were outside of the apartment, Mai could deal with that. But once they started sprouting up inside? She wasted about ten minutes uprooting the plants before she noticed they were just coming back, then she just left to avoid the problem. She'd deal with it later. Or better yet, Ty Lee would deal with it later. That would be ideal.

Outside the smell of the flowers wasn't as overwhelming, and as she was looking for any part of the city that wasn't completely covered in flowers. And it was while she was walking that she notices a large shadow pass over, and she turns her head upward to see what the shadow belongs to.

And.

And.

This place is turning into a zoo.]

[Eventually Appa starts to tire down, so he lands on the ground. Where does he land? Right in front of Mai...and a whole lot of flowers.

Appa's noise starts to twitch and twitch and then]

Mai, run!

[ACHOOOO!!! Appa releases a mighty sneeze.]

[She moves further back when she notices the animal coming down for a landing. Flowers scattering all over the place when Appa hits the ground, a mist of petals and pollen exploding in the area, and Mai covers her face with a hand while taking another few steps backward.]

Watch where you're going.

[Her words are spoken at the same time as Aang's warning, so she didn't catch it until after the Bison sneezes.

Mai isn't sure of what just happened.

Well, she knows that there had been /something/ that knocked her off her feet and onto her back into a mountain of lilies. It just takes her a little longer of blinking in confusion to realize that she's wet. She closes her eyes and speaks in an even tone, though her fingers twitch, then curl into fists at her sides.]

Please tell me that I'm not covered in Bison snot.

[Oh noooo, this can't be good. Not when they had just reached a truce and all that good stuff. Coughs loudly and speaks in a nervous tone.]

Ahahaha, then you're not covered in Bison snot!

[Mai waits a few moments before she raises her hands, and after she finds one that isn't covered in snot, she uses it to wipe at the wetness she feels on her face.]

Augh

[Slowly she begins to stand, and while she isn't coated in the stuff, there were still blotches and globs of the snot all over her clothing and even in her hair. She tries wiping her hands on plants, and it helps remove some of the slime, but also makes flowers stick to the gunk that was too stubborn to wipe off.]

Ewww. This is so disgusting.

I think I can help you, stay still for a second.

[Makes several hand movements before thrusting his hand forward and he creates a large gust of wind that blows away quite a bit of the snot. Mai has her own personal airdryer at the moment!]

[It took a moment too long for Mai to look over at Aang, and the blast of air hit her while her head was in mid-turn. She closes her eyes, braces against the wind, teeth clenching together as his air bending manages to blow off most of the grossness. It also dishevels her clothing and hair, making her look worse for wear, especially since there were already dark circles under her eyes. Very little could make her look any more ridiculous.

A few moments pass before she gives Aang a sideways glance. Her deadpan voice contradicting her words.]

Thanks. I needed that.

[Clear his throat and the smile on his face becomes even more awkward. The goop is all gone but she looks like she could use a comb and how. He's trying not to laugh because he is pretty sure laughter will get him stabbed. That doesn't stop the end of his lips from starting to curl up into a grin.]

Appa and I are both really sorry, can we do anything else to hep?

[She lifts her hands, trying to feel out how bad her hair is, and after a couple moments of patting, she just begins to take it down. Once it's loose then she starts working her fingers through tangles the best she can.]

...

[While trying to make her hair look less disastrous, she avoids answering Aang, and even goes so far as to turn her back to him. She works her hands throughout her hair until it looks at least halfway decent. Then her silent treatment ends, she glances back over a shoulder at Aang and proceeds to not answer his question.]

Where did he come from?

I made a deal with the deities to get him here. And before you ask; no, I'm not going to say what I traded him for. It's nothing that I needed that badly anyway.

[Sigh. Eyeroll.]

I don't care what you traded. It probably wasn't worth the trouble of dealing with the deities anyway.

Oh.

[Coughs.]

Of course it was! I got Appa back. No matter how troublesome the deities are, it's worth it if it means I can be with Appa again.
