I can't wait for everyone to see you again, Appa! [Smiles happily and lets go of the reigns for a moment so he can hug some of that fuzzy goodness.] It

[ Well, she couldn't think of anything better to do.

...And, yes, okay, she missed Appa. So she's strolling outside to greet him and his over-excited master. ]

Good timing, Fluffy. We were just talking about you the other day.

[Aang is encouraging Appa to land but Appa isn't digging all of the flowers and such on the ground. Sure, flowers smell nice but there are so many of them!

Then a couple of those chocolate smelling flowers fall on Toph. An idea comes to the mighty bison's head; how to taste deliciousness and not have to land all at the same time.]

[SLUUUURRRRP.

Appa sticks his tongue out and pretty much lifts Toph up with it. He never bothers touching the ground and starts to ascend once again.

Aang in the meantime flails and looks down Appa's face.]

Toph! Are you okay?!

[ Okay, she can hear bison-breathing, but why isn't he landing so she can see where he is?

...Probably because he's tasting her instead.

This is a very damp experience. ]

[ Eww. She hits the ground, although from a pretty safe distance, so she's only disoriented for a moment. Wrinkling her nose, she wipes bison slobber from her face onto her pants. ]

You could use a breath mint.

Appa!

[Sighs at the sky bison, who finally settles down on the ground in a spot that doesn't have as many flowers. Aang hop off of him and then runs over to Toph to help her back up onto her feet.]

Toph, I'm really sorry about that!

[seesbydoing]

[ She laughs it off, giving him one of her crooked smiles. ] I'm not that easy to break, Twinkletoes.

Appa's glad you're okay too. He's just busy...trying out the chocolate smelling plants.

[Cough.]

I'm not a plant! [ This to Appa, although she isn't too angry. ]

I wonder how he found his way here. Is it some mystical Avatar thing?

Not exactly. I made a trade with the deities.

[ Scuffs a foot in the dirt absently. ] They went for that? For what?

Oh, yeah? Must have been something pretty good. Since he's so big and all. [ Looks thoughtful. ] Do they charge by the pound or what?

Okay, the way I looked at it is in this place I don't need to be the Avatar, right? It's more important that we're all together and I'm an airbender at heart.

Sooo...I gave up bending the other elements outside of the Avatar state for my duration here.
