The boy's name is Ross, and his mother updates his blog. His father, shot both Ross in the head, and his brother. His brother did not survive. Ross is now blind, and is learning braille, and trying to continue on with his life. Today they're having a fundraiser that his school helped coordinate.
The father, after shooting the two children, shot himself and died.
*sigh* I hate what the world is coming to.
