most nights i have trouble sleeping. but the nights when joseph sleeps on the phone with me are the nights i fall asleep more effortlessly. i don't understand this phenomenon because he doesn't even breathe in to the phone; he just puts it on speaker next to his head on the pillow or on the bed. sometimes it falls on the floor.
on the other hand, rupert was my valentine. i put him in my bag when i decided to run around north campus with tony in the middle of the night, with soda cups in our hands, filled instead with gin&tonic or orangejuice&rum. slightly exhilarating. we ended up eating at lisa's cafe. lucky charms+milk, white castle burgers, chef boyardee ravioli, chicken salad, easy mac. and then cigarettes on the vent outside cci.
i am now currently looking for a way to figure out joseph's ring size. he said i can't buy him a ring with diamonds, or one that's made out of gold or platinum. but i think white gold would be a nice touch, with or without diamonds, which i doubt i could afford anyways. and if i buy it before he gets here, he can't NOT accept it! ohhh all the ways to deceive your boyfriend. you'd think i'd have to scheme to hide some epic secret about myself or what i'm doing out here, but nooo, it's so he doesn't reject my gifts or figure out my bank account number.
