Gentle Readers,
Well I still feel a little sick, but, in spite of this, I will post! See I these things I do just for you? Thanks to my lj posting friends who inspired me with enlightening rececnt posts.
I left off with Saturday from two weeks ago. We start again with Sunday. Sunday was a very exciting day. We (Grandma, Inge & Wolf) had to have an early breakfast in order to leave early to go to Inge's twin brother's house. His wife fixed us a lovely lunch which seemed to never end. They were super friendly and easy to talk to. Uwe (Inge's brother) is simultaneously suffering from aggressive cancer and now shingles. Please pray for him! He seemed happy to have some company but was mostly quiet. He showed us a video of their trip to Spain (pics + music) and it was impressive. I also learned that for things like shingles (which have limited traditional medical treatments) Germans will sometimes go to these women who lay hands on them and supposedly have some healing power. They acted like it was perfectly normal and I wonder if that is the general attitude here. I'd like to know more about it.
Anyway, after we left we drove by the Baltic Sea just as the sun was setting. I was going crazy taking pictures so they stopped the car and we walked around. It was amazing, very warm for November and I "photographed everything possible."
My roommate Sarah has never been!
