What event do you wish you could have been a “fly on the wall” for?
I’d LOVE to be around when Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs thought up the Marauders’ Map. I wonder what their process is like. When Fred and I are creating a new product, we start off by just bouncing ideas off each other and arguing like mad. Then we come up with something and focus from there. And that’s just the two of us. It must be harder when there’re four.
I wonder what they used the map for. It’s not like they needed it to find all the secret passages, they already knew about them to put them in the map. Adding in those tracking charms to show all the people at Hogwarts was a nice touch. Although it’s impossible to see who’s in a crowded area like the common rooms or a classroom. The names are just too big and the space is tiny. That’s why Fred and I hardly bothered with that. But obviously they had use for it, or else they wouldn’t have put it in.
I suppose I could just ask Moony or Padfoot. I do see them from time to time. Oi! What was going on when you thought up the map?
