Today's Post

It's funny how routine's can get thrown out so easily. The last two weeks Emily hasn't been swimming on Mondays and I haven't done grocery shopping on Monday and Daniel hasn't been home. This week I was completely thrown that I forgot it was Monday and forgot to go to Physie (dance) with the kids. I realised as we were hopping on our bikes to go for a bike ride what day it was but it was already too late so we went for a ride instead. Probably better as this way I got to get some exercise instead of just watching the kids dance.

We haven't been for a ride for a while together as a family and Emily seemed to have lost some of her coordination or confidence but was fine by the end.

I need to get organised tonight so I can go for a ride by myself. I was doing very well up until last week when Daniel worked all week so there wasn't time for me to go for a ride before the kids got up. Got to get into action this week.

I was talking to a friend at church on Sunday about how my healthy eating went out the window the second part of this year. I was so good the first half but I had the motivation of lent (no chocolate or deserts) and then my birthday (I wanted to be under 70kg before I turned 40) but then after my birthday I got slack - we went away, Tamsin died and I was flying back and forth to Adelaide so I wasn't watching what I was eating, then our anniversary, which involved chocolate and going out to Max Brenner's 3 times in a week and a half! Now Christmas is coming up and bleh! My weight is now back over 70. So I have just downloaded the slimkicker app to give it a go. I have to be more controlled, less deserts during the week and snacking. I should be as strict to myself as I am to my kids!

Is this non-rating season because I feel there is nothing on TV but repeats. Come on "Once Upon A Time"!
