Books for Feb

Apr 04, 2006 20:52

There are hardly any books recorded for February - partly no time to read or record.

I have written down some, remembered others

Ms Simon Says Mary McBride *
Thyme Out Katie Fforde*
Life hard you turn to easy comfort novels which this one is
The Baby Trail Sinead Moriarty *
Life is hard if you cannot get pregnant - which a few of my friends are facing now (while others got pregnant quickly) The trials and tribulations of trying to get pregnant
Honeymoon with my brother Franz Wisner *
I have noted down in my journal - bit self-obsessive but good

That's all I can find for the month of Feb - there might be others lurking around out there but that's all I can remember/find.
ahh I just remembered one which was probably Feb due to a book I read in January and didn't record for January
A Vicarage Family Noel Streatfeild ***
Another comfort read though I read it also because I had to for a brief mention about Elizabeth Fry. Always makes me sniff and a little cry

So add to January

Betsy: The Dramatic Biography of Prison Reformer Elizabeth Fry Jean Hatton **
I found it really interesting - I knew the name and knew she was a quaker and that was it. Much of what happens in prisons today is because of her. A great woman with many personal problems.
