There is a girl at school who I discuss Diana Wynn Jones with (including movie of Howl's). I have been trying to get her liking Tamora Pierce and she has got addicted to her and we discuss those books and I have also passed on Garth Nix and she devoured those books. What next..... As a friend commented the other day - I am a pusher!

My favourite book of the month was probably the last two - probably Conrad's Fate more than the Empress. While I really did enjoy the Empress - I did predict what would happen pretty much from the beginning. Conrad's was fun.

I have been a bit slack recently... I keep forgetting to update my booklist so I am not sure if this is a complete list of books. So 7 books this month, that's an average of 12.5 a month making it a total of 125 this year. So far 86 books short of last year that means I would have to read 43 books a month - I doubt it.

I also haven't been recording my movies either and the ol brain cells are a little rusty. I /think/ I saw Serenity twice.... (so that was 4 times altogether which is about right), Howl's Moving Castle and In Her Shoes scraped in on the 31st.

In Her Shoes was a fun movie - I did laugh a few times through it and almost cried towards the end. A few slow scenes but a fun film to watch.
Howl's Moving Castle I enjoyed - I had seen it before ages ago from download (and I was only allowed to download if I went to the movies to see it) and watched on big screen and thought huh don't remember that scene. Download was subtitled, movie one was dubbed. I like the book better but a good feast of a movie.

There could be another couple of films in there that I did see but I cannot remember. I think I am getting old. Or I just need to update more often as I do things so I don't have to rely on my faulty memory. So I will say 4 for the month. That's 38 for the year, 3.8 a month!

OK I have procrastinated all evening - came home (via some top shopping as so hot need tops to wear to work!), napped, ate, went on bike ride, came back, showered, watched TV, checked emails and now time for bed and I haven't done the work I should have which means in bed I won't get to read A Long Way Down but will have to read Odd Girl Out as part of work research. *sigh* It is interesting but still work involved. I cannot even sneak probably watching BSG - yes I started. Interested though a little confused, I don't know who is who and what is happening and how come that crazy doctor has crazy visions?

I wish I could think what other films I saw this month - this was a five week month - the last two fridays I have been otherwise occupied and missed movie night but what of the three before that. One involved Serenity so that leaves two?

I think I will miss it again this Friday as I have to work :( Enough dilly dallying!
