So I went to work today. I dont know why. Kids have an awesome way of pointing out your obvious misfortunes. "You don't look very good today. You looked better last week". Thanks children, I try. Not that I'm concerned at how a bunch of 8 year olds percieve me, but hey... bluntness, at any age, surprises me. Always. Being the subtle beast I am.
I did manage to get myself out of the house a few times this weekend. Friday night to Tala's house and last night to Sam's to watch American Beauty with him and Allon. I hadn't watched that movie in a year or so and it surprised me again. I forgot how fantastic it was. My favorite part about Friday night was an inebriated Mike Hoy whispering to me about how he's going to stuff all the toilets of the white house with toilet paper, while eating plenty of appetizers.
I have the theme from the show The Nanny stuck in my head, and the worst part is I know all of the words. Except one line. Normally it wouldn't bother me but since I have mono everything bothers me. It won't go away.
I need to go prom dress shopping. Ugh.
And I need to recover.
