Today, at long last, was kickball day. I never realized how out of shape I was until I tried to run around and catch the ball. And let me tell you, I am out of shape. It was a lot of fun, but we needed a few additional players to complete it. Like, say, Nick, Chris, and Grant? It makes me really sad that Grant is so distant. I hang out with him sometimes, but I can never get him to be with everyone anymore. I really wish he would stop being such a butthead. His birthday is really soon (anybody know the exact date?), and argh I hate that boy. I think we should all get together and surprise him. Now before I give anybody the wrong impression, I’ll move on.
I have had that toilet in my trunk for nearly a year, and have yet to do anything humorous with it. I was telling Alexa the other day that we should put it randomly on a busy sidewalk and just watch people’s reactions. I can also picture Greg and his hairy butt sitting on it while pretending to read a newspaper.
I find myself singing to Jesse McCartney on the radio while I’m driving alone. Somebody please shoot me.
I never realized how much I love warm weather until it came. I’ve been outside constantly the past few days - Steve and I even walk to work sometimes. When we were walking, I found this adorable Victorian-ish house down a street behind the park. I want to live in it.
Alexa and I also discussed my strange urge to grow up lately. It’s not that I don’t love being a kid, but for some inexplicable reason I really want to be a mom and get married (but not in that order). My dad asked me the other day if I would ever elope. It was weird.
I’m going on my first college visit tomorrow - the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. I’m not sure how that’s going to be, but I do think I am looking forward to it.
I have a ton of sand in my socks. I really hope this summer is going to be hot. I love really hot weather.
Things I/we have to do this summer:
- Cedar Point
- Drive around in Nick’s car and throw things out the window
- Go swimming at Alex’s lake like fifty times
- get up early on the weekend go garage saling all day
- do something with my toilet
- rollerblade
- play kickball again - with everyone
- camp out in my backyard
- break Alexa’s trampoline
- jump the railroad tracks going seventy with Nick’s car (again)
- bowl
- drive back and forth through populated areas while blasting various songs from Now 5
- purchase lots of homies
- go to taco bell - a lot
- walk around barefoot all the time
- play car hide-and-go seek
You know, I am feeling really good about all of this. I’ve finally straightened everything out so it can all start falling back into place. It’s amazing how optimistic spring can make you.
