my summer reading:
take notes on every page of 9 chapters of a mythology book...and they must be typed and with a broad vocab
read 3 books for my documented critical essay
and 2,000 pages of other work.
i am dead.
where are you going to college?

reading mythology over the summer going into senior year was a drag, but now that i have a better understanding of literature/allusions, i had wished i paid more attention. dont fall asleep when you guys go over bible references too...you feel way smarter when you can pick up these things as you're reading.

cal poly slo; come visit me..seriously.

okay, so you happened to point out the one line in the movie that i specifically groaned out loud. and i am not trying to say that episode 3 was an incredibly moving piece of emotional amazingness, but it went way more in depth in terms of the emotional motivation for the actions of the characters.
point is--i am sad that i didnt feel the 'wow' of the first star wars movies as everyone did back in 197whatever, based on the fact that my "ooh, special effects" radar has been watered down by every other movie i've seen, and i just wished that i appreciated it as much as my dad, and every other star wars purist or cinema buff does...not that im even like a movie person anyway. whatever, im done.

Meh, you are under no obligation to like Star Wars, or any other movie you see for that matter.
Anyhow, so you are vanishing to collegeland? Due to an unfortunate choice during the previous semester involving a pumpkin, the trunk of my car, my own forgetfulness, and a huge medieval battleaxe I failed last semester and thus have a GPA that is not at all enviable and am stuck at moorpark coolege. This is unfortunate. Perhaps I shall go sail on a ship and be a man of the sea instead of a history teacher as previously planned.
At any rate, still havent seen the you in ages! This must be rectified, I do believe.
Cheers!

Kayla, I'm so glad you're going to read The Stranger! Camus is such a genius and I love that book! Put it on the top of your list! hehehe
