Fall Break 2005..I guess it was better than 2004. 2004 consisted of being sick, a minor hurricane and lots of football, but it was fun. This fall break was ok, but not the greatest. I got a lot of R and R which was good. My fall break started on Wed. night after the Senate meeting..which by the way, took two hours just to go back where we started..that really pissed me off..anyways, Wedenseday night, Poynot and all the others came over and chilled bc everyone was just in a mood to chill I guess, I ended up leaving the apartment with Christinia to go to the Caterie, which was Ok, because I got to see good friends, but horrible in the fact that I HATE that place..its not my kind of bar I guess. Im spoiled with the good times of Bogies and Freds and the occasional TB or Reggies. We came back, and literally passed out. When I woke up it was 2 30 pm on Thursday. I went to eat Chimes with the Big man, Chuck. Talked SG stuff like always and eventually went to our ticket meeting for the fall elections. Thursday night looked like it was going to be another boring night, but eventually turned out allright. Emily, Hunter, Ellen and I went to some friends parties and ended up not getting home till 4 am. Emily and I wanted to go out, so we picked up Cooney and we headed to Spanish Moon. We didnt want to pay so we left. Not having anything to do, I do what I always do when Im bored. Sneak into the ever so beautiful Tiger Stadium, aka Death Valley. Emily, Cooney and I walked up to the top deck because the gates were locked to gain entrance to the field and enjoyed the views of the eyre stadium at night. Cooney and I kept telling eachother it should really be a pro stadium, bc it is so huge. It didnt look so big being on the field against Tennessee, but at night when its empty it looked huge. We drove back to the apartment and called it a night. On the way back we saw trailers and trailers of cars and trucks. We thought it was FEMA, but I later found it they were filming a movie on campus during fall break, which led me to my next adventure. When I woke up at 2 30 once again, I called Jill and we decided to watch the filming of the movie. A lady later approached us and asked us if we would like to be extras in a class room scene. Jill and I thought it would be fun, and left and decided we would come back tommorrow. When I got home I called Ed, and asked if He would like to go to a CHS football game since they were playing St. Amant. I got to see old teachers and talk football with old friends and wanted to cry, seeing that though it was two years ago (hard to believe) that just yesterday I was in my jersey on the sidelines waiting to play and go party after the games with friends, whom I miss dearly to this day. We ended back up at my apt and decided to go to more parties bc nothing was really going on, and later back to Hunters. It was an interesting night, but fun. Saturday morning I woke up at 10 45 with a phone call from Jill saying she was on her way to come pick me up for the movie. I was like crap, I hadnt showered or anything so I quickly took a shower and got dressed. We arrived on set at 11 am, and sat around for 3 hours just for wardrobe to check the way we dressed. We got cranky and I called a friend to get some Canes, since we couldnt leave. At around 5 o clock, after waiting around for 6 hours they escorted us to the Cox Center for another waiting room. Some fashion designer who looked pretty important, told me I had to change into another shirt, so I did. After another hour, we were finally got on the actual set. They divided us into groups and I thought Jill and I got screwed but we actually were in the center of the shot. This movie sounds pretty cool, and hopefully Jill and I will be seen in the opening scene. The scene consisted of Mrs. Hillary Swank giving us a lecture on God and miracles, that in fact arent miracles but the mishaps of modern man and toxic chemicals, sounds interesting huh? You need to go watch the movie and find out more. thats all i know anyways. We shot scenes from every angle until about 9 30, and I went home and just crashed. Nothing interesting happened. Woke up this morning and got to see family for the first time in a while. Got to eat and mess with the family. Found out more on my grandmothers situation and New Orleans. Please keep her in your prayers, she has to go into surgery and get more chemo. She was doing fine, but after Katrina she has been up and about, and it is hurting her greatly more than helping. For all who read this, even if I dont show it..I love ya..say it sometime, as I learned today, it can make the biggest difference in a day. I love you.
