Something just came over me

What happened to everything? and everyone, does anyone know?
Why dont we sit on the backs of the trucks drinking coffee anymore
Why dont we listen to Indie rock in Roll screaming and singing
at the top of our lungs
Why dont I hear Clints jokes anymore?
Why did the whole big group stop talking?
Where did the big get togethers go, the cook outs, and
the dramatic parties.

We were all something out of a teenage movie.
We were all so incredibly happy.
but most of all we never stopped smiling

and then
people stopped laughing
people stopped caring
people forgot the memories
and everything and everyone
completely Froze, and walked away.
