boarding and rushing....
OMG so yesterday i got my board!!! I am so freakin excited i cant even express it in words. I ended up getting a K2 Luna with burton bindings and boots. I cant wait till November when the season starts...ahhhh man.
Anyway, so after we got all my crap we went to this sorority bbq thing which i didn't really want to go to in the first place bc i wasn't sure if i wanted to join one, but we had nothing better to do so we ended up going and boy am i glad i went. Going to that thing made me want to be in one sooo bad. We were there for about an hour and a half and literally the whole time we were talking to the president and 2 other seniors that were DG’s. After talking to them i realized that is exactly where i belong, they are so tight. They have a total funky style which i love and they are soo freakin nice. It wasn't like they were just hanging out with us because they felt like it, they totally could have gone and done their own thing and talked to other girls but they didn't. Even when the conversation got a little low, they still stuck around and we kept talking. It was great, i am soo excited to start rush. It starts tomorrow and goes through friday. There are 6 chapters here and the only two that i am thinking about is Delta Gamma and Chi Omega. The Chi O’s are all mormon and they are really good girls, but still have fun. The DG’s are 1/2 mormon and 1/2 party girls which is probably where i rather be, bc i think it would be more fun. The DG mormons i thought would be completely jack but they arn't at all, they totally attend institute and all that, so that got me even more excited about joining their chapter. Right after we left i called my dad and just told him how excited i was to rush. What sucks about the U is that it is such a commuter school. Everyone already has their click from hs and so it makes it so hard to become friends with them. That's why i am so excited to join a sorority, so i actually meet girls...wow, what a concept!
So, just a few hours ago i was sitting on my bed trying to write a paper and my bed is right next to the window, so i can see everything outside and it just started to pour and there was tons of thunder and lightning. This wasn't just a little rain, it was intense. So, i call Kerin over and we both get so freakin excited bc we both LOVE playing in the rain. So, we run outside and go crazy. Our dorms are kinda on a little hill covered with grass, so we just start sliding on the grass, down the hills yelling and screaming just getting soaked. Oh man it was the funniest thing ever. My pants got completely ruined but it was sooo worth it. The funniest thing happened, Kerin and i were getting big running starts and then sliding down the hills and she went on her stomach and her pants just came completely off and her whole but was way visible. Everyone in the dorms were watching us and just started laughing, it was the greatest thing ever.
