Listerine-Pickled Icicles
I'm very interested in learning basic sign language. I recently volunteered to drive a co-worker to Vancouver, WA after we finished a long night of work because her deaf friend had a very sick puppy that we rushed over to a 24-hour vet. Long story short, I had a rather spiritual encounter with this beautiful dog named Ming and guided her out of the thickest hours of her slow recovery.
anyway, i had another one of my disturbing animal dreams last night. it was somewhat more complicated, but to summarize.... a young man was buried alive by an adversary in some futuristic sport he was very good at. out of spite, he had been buried beneath a dozen or so live male deer in response to a comment he'd made. it was something about "whatever animal inspires you, embodies your ambitions, etc, ask that animal to ride with you when you fly." it was regarding his peculiar sport (enfusing your physical life energies into a metal disk that uses electromagnetics to zip around an airspace arena, i don't remember any details). when i discovered several deer struggling and contorted limbs beneath the wet sand at an empty playground i began to pull them out of a deep hole one by one and eventually found him unconscious and sputtering about 10 feet down. it was a little horrifying.
also, i flew back in yesterday evening from a 5 day visit to ol' Texas. i sure am gld to be back in the lovely state of oregon!
