okay ... so while I have some down time and my head is actually a bit cleared, I'm going to post a quick update.

As most of you (or hopefully all of you) know, I moved to Las Vegas with my parents, brother, and dog about 12 days ago. We spent our first night in a town in Indiana that I couldn't spell to save my life, the second night in Oklahoma which I think has turned into my least favorite state ever, the third night in New Mexico which was absolutely insane because of those crazy mountains and red ants that I couldn't seem to get away from, and then I spent my birthday in New Mexico, Arizona, and arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada at around 3pm. On the way there in the car I got three surprise phone calls =D. Caitlin called me as we were driving through Flagstaff, Ellen called me later that afternoon, and then Gretchen called me that night but I was @ a casino eating dinner and didn't know my phone had rung until I got her voicemail after I got home. I have to call her back real soon. I spent my first night as a 20 year old in a La Quinta Inn which was actually very nice and my uncle took my brother and me for a ride up and down the strip. We would have gotten out and walked around for a while, but it was still around 119 degrees at 9pm and Adam and I hadn't really slept that well the past couple nights. Plus my uncle and dad had to work in the morning so after we saw the major casinos and the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, we headed back to the hotel. Two nights later was the first night I spent in my new house which, by the way, is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. It's a little smaller than my old house in Rochester, with only 3 bedrooms, but we have 2 and a half baths, a loft, and a two car garage. My dad loves it. He was so afraid that we wouldn't like it. It didn't take us very long to make it our own (even though we're only renting it for a year). It's the perfect size for my family. Minus the extremely tiny, almost non-existent backyard that has no grass, and maybe two tiny trees which the owners of the house like to call "money trees" ... and a sprinkler system that likes to water the patio (lol if you can even call it that) and walls of the house instead of the trees/rocks. Lol ... other than that, it's a great house =). I love it. I really do.

Whenever I look at a clock here, I always think about what time it is in Rochester. It's crazy how the time difference is three hours. I'm just eating dinner when everyone at home is going to bed. Oh well. I'll have to figure out a better time to catch up with all you guys...

I've been doing a lot of job hunting lately. Not sure exactly where I want to work the most, but there are a few possibilities. My dad's taking me to the outlet mall in Henderson this weekend to see what they have out there =). Old Navy is a big choice for me, then Borders or maybe Yankee Candle. Something that has normal hours instead of the 24 hours shit like Timmy Ho's or 11:30pm close @ Seabreeze (even though I was more than willing to handle that!!). I just want a normal 9-5 job. It'll be hard to find in this city because it really is a city that doesn't sleep. There a bunch of stores and shops open all day and night. It's gonna take some getting used to. I don't think it'll be a big problem though. Keep your fingers crossed for that Old Navy job for me. Hopefully they'll be hiring!!

Uhm ... what else. Oh!! Adam and I are going to our first Vegas show this weekend! Our uncle is taking us for our birthdays. It's @ The Aladdin and I guess it's a bunch of pyrotechnics stuff. I'm excited. Before the show, we're all going to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I can't wait. I haven't been there since I went to Chicago when I was @ Valpo.

I've been able to keep in touch with Julie and Kristin a lot during this whole move which has helped tremendously. I'm so greatful for the friends that have made this transition so much easier on me. Thank you so much, you guys. Just make sure you keep in touch and I'll figure out a way to get you all out here to visit me!! hehe I love you all!!!
