we still have troops in iraq and gas prices are soaring out of control, and yet our government still decides to focus so strongly on trying to ban gay marriage instead of providing answers and relief to these other burning issues.
apparently the "most fundamental institution of civilization" is in jeopardy because of "activist judges," such as those in massachusetts who are passing state laws to allow gay marriage. bush says, "Our policies should aim to strengthen families, not undermine them. And changing the definition of marriage would undermine the family structure."
yeah, undermine the family structure... because britney spears is legally allowed to have a marriage lasting under 24 hours, but two people of the same sex that happen to be in love with each should simply not be allowed to share in the ceremony of marriage like all other citizens, civilians, and people are. it's a sad, sad world out there...
