a forced laughter
over an empty Chinese dinner.
the unspoken silence
is a given these days.
i have nothing left to say with words.
so as i sit waisting another afternoon
and another forty dollars in your name,
only laughter comes to mind.
a forced laughter
over an empty Chinese dinner.
whos game are we playing these days?
what excuse are you wearing today, my love?
i care for you like i do a good beer,
it has its place,
its taste,
you drink,
you enjoy,
the grace of empty bottle.
toss it and grab another.
and that is where i am with you.
i drank,
i enjoyed,
now its time to take that grace,
that empty bottle,
and leave it for a new one,
a fresher one,
a colder one.
its the first taste,
the first taste you chase.
i nothing left to say with words.
only laughter comes to mind.
a forced laughter,
over a empty Chinese dinner.
