(no subject)
I came back from austin early because I have tests in all of my classes this week, and there was no way I'd be able to study there. Right now, I'm taking a break.
This weekend had its ups and downs. I left work late on friday because once I start something, I like to finish it, and everything has to be completely organized before I can go. Funny how I'm only like this at work...Anyways. Drove down with mom and dad. Everyone abandoned me at the parking lot, and meg came and picked me up. I still miss not having her around all the time =/, but then again I'll be up there next year (hopefully!) so it'll be ok. We went to central market and roamed for a bit. I swear that place could be my downfall. Everything just looks so good.
We ended up making a nice dinner with pecan crusted salmon, angel hair pasta, and...I can't remember. hah, how sad. Anyways, it was great. We went over to the guys' house for a while to just "chill" I guess. I can't remember the order of events because I was pretty tired. I know we watched part of an Abott and Costello movie about jack and the beanstalk. Didn't finish it though. Joey beat me in mini basketball, but I got a few shots in :).
Slept until like 2:40 when Lauren called. I guess the week caught up to me. Went to the ut-rice game. I bought a ut shirt :D because I didn't have an orange one. sad, huh? We demolished Rice :D. It was Alumni Band weekend, and my mom, dad, and aunt marched. I heard there were 700 alumni plus the 300 longhorn band members. The show was cool, and I met my parents' friends from college. I even met the roomate that grew weed in the closet =Þ.
Party at the hotel room afterward. (family party...not party party) Celebrated lauren and audge's bday. hmm then around 1ish we drove to the guys' house again and we watched most of Dazed and Confused. haha, I'm so glad I didn't live in the 70's. good movie despite the fact that I kept covering my mouth because I was horrified at what they were doing. Paddling kids, geez.
Jess and meg drove lauren, audrey and me back to the hotel around 3:30. I was up at 8am to drive back with my dad because of the hw junk. (hence the whole "break" right now)
yeah, so as a whole, awesome weekend. There were some parts I could have done without though.
