The 2016 Teen Choice Awards

Winners



Kylie Rogers, 12, attended the show hand-in-hand with her movie mom Jennifer Garner, and together, they accepted the surfboard for Choice Movie: Drama for their tearjerker Miracles From Heaven.




Chloe Moretz, 19, fresh from her speech supporting Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention, skipped the red carpet for this event but did go onstage when she won Choice Movie Actress: Comedy for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Her costar Zac Efron won Choice Movie Actor: Comedy for the film.




Daisy Ridley, 24, won Choice Movie: Breakout Star for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie nominated for several other awards, inlcuding Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Daisy, which she lost to Jennifer Lawrence for Mockingjay: Part 2. Chloe Moretz and Scarlett Johansson were also nominated in this category.




Coming in at the most nominations was Pretty Little Liars, with 11 total, including wins for most of its actresses. Sasha Pieterse, 20, won Choice TV: Scene Stealer; Ashley Benson (left), 26, won Choice TV Actress: Drama; and Janel Parrish, 27, won Choice TV: Villain. At right, the whole cast accepts the show's surfboard for Choice TV Show: Drama.




Former child star Candace Cameron Bure, now 40, won Choice TV Actress: Comedy for Fuller House (a sequel to '90s sitcom Full House, which she grew up on). Candace and her costars Andrea Barber, 40, and Jodie Sweetin, 34, were nominated for Choice TV: Chemistry but lost to Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn for Pretty Little Liars. They all accepted together when Fuller House won for Choice TV Show: Comedy; left, they're in the pressroom with the surfboard and Michael Campion and Elias Harger, who play Candace's sons, and young actress Soni Nicole Bringas, 14, who plays Andrea's daughter.

Presenters & Nominees



Hosting together with professional wrestler John Cena, Victoria Justice, 23, went through five wardrobe changes during the night. Even the Teen Choice Awards were politically tinted this year: Victoria and Cena performed a skit where they came onstage dressed as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and fake-wrestled.




Maia Mitchell, 22, and Laura Marano, 20, presented the awards for Choice Web Stars: Male and Female together. Maia was nominated for Choice TV Actress: Drama for The Fosters, but she lost to Ashley for Pretty Little Liars. Laura was nominated for Choice TV Actress: Comedy for Austin & Ally, but she lost to Candace for Fuller House.




Keke Palmer, 22, and Lea Michele, 29, attended to support their show Scream Queens, which was nominated for Choice TV Show: Comedy but lost to Fuller House. Lea also presented and was nominated Choice TV Actress: Comedy (which she lost to Candace Cameron Bure) and Choice TV: Villain (lost to Janel Parrish).




Katherine McNamara, 20, and Emeraude Toubia, 27, attended to support their show Shadowhunters, which won for Choice TV: Breakout Show. Katherine was also nominated for Choice TV: Breakout Star but lost to her costar Matthew Daddario.
