The morning singsong of the early birds awakens Junsu as he stirs in his sleep. The intense shades of orange, yellow and red obstructs the darkness he needed to fall back to sleep. He turns back to his original position to avoid the sunlight as he adjust his position, a sharp pain in his neck intensifies. Junsu reluctantly opens his eyes. Taking a moment to adjust to the blinding brightness of the natural light, he realises that he wasn’t in the comfort of his bed but on the sofa in the living room. His head supported by the head rest was the main cause of the awkward position he was in.
He sat upright, wrapping the sheets around him tightly as the morning cold hits him. Head leaning against the back of the sofa, he reflects on the night before. Everything he said was just slurs to Yunho, his lover’s words, touches, kisses, they were the results of a drunken effort. Nothing he did or said last night were actions of someone completely sober who missed his lover after weeks away from their presence would do.

If there was one thing Yunho was wholeheartedly dedicated to, it would be boxing. It was a passion that he was always determined to be the best at. Even Siwon, Yunho’s manager as well as trainer, knew of the huge part boxing played on his life yet he had doubts, especially in the last few months. As Yunho’s club hit its peak in the industry and also amongst the public, Siwon sensed the concentration was more on the club than his career. After five years of friendship and working alongside each other, he still didn’t know Yunho near enough as well as Junsu did.
Being the ignorant man Yunho was; he had always shown the side of him which made people believe he was lazy and that boxing was a career he had to do, not something he loved to perform. Junsu and only Junsu knew the truth of his intentions. It was a shame Yunho intentions towards him were so hard to read.

The ringing of his phone cuts him off his thoughts and brings him back to reality.
“Hello?”
“You didn’t come home last night, so he’s back then?”
He, referring to Yunho, the man that Yeonhee would just called by the name of he or him and rarely by Yunho as ‘wasting her breath on one syllable was far better than wasting it on a two syllable word.’
“Noona...yeah he did.”
“So he finally remembered where his priorities lie?”
“...”
“Okay enough about him; main thing is if you’re alright.”
“I’m fine...” Junsu smiles down the phone hoping his sister could realise that he was bearing up; the fact that Yunho was home was good enough for him for the time being.
“Good, what are you plans when you finish work? Liyin and I were wondering whether you would like to join us for dinner, she wants to go over a few ideas for the wedding.”
“Sorry Noona, Yunho came home late last night so we didn’t have dinner together. I was going to cook for him tonight and catch up. Tell Liyin I’ll be over tomorrow.”
“Alright, well we’re going to the restaurant on the corner of the high street so if you change your mind, give us a ring?” Yeonhee knew there would be a possibility that Junsu could join them, it had happened in the past, it was quite clear the pattern would follow.
“...Er yeah, I will.”
“Alright Junsu-ah I’ll let you be. I’ll speak to you soon, bye.” She sighs between her worried words; she hated her brother for being so distant with her when it came to him.

~~~~~~
“Great job children, remember those dance steps for next lesson ok?”
“Yes Junsu Oppa/hyung” the children replied in unison.
“Alright, I’ll see you next week then” Junsu smiled to the dozens of faces watching him lovingly and respectively.
“Yeah, see you next week!”
As the children proceeds to the back of the dance hall towards their parents, a man enters the room.
“Junsu-shi?”
“Yes?” Junsu turns towards the door to see a young delivery man approach her with a huge bouquet of flowers. His eyes instantly draw towards the array of colours that covered the delivery man’s face. “Thank you.”
Running his fingers through the delicate petals of the velvet coloured roses, his hands wonders to a little card amongst the midst of the gorgeous buds
“Oppa...Who are they from?” a little girl tugs on the edges of Junsu’s cotton tee.
“Oh Sunmi-ah.”
“Sunmi, leave Junsu Oppa alone, come on lets go.” The little girl’s mother pulls her away as Junsu ruffles her hair and laughs at the young child’s curious mind. His finger slips beneath the corners of the envelope, pulling the card out from its jacket he reads:
‘Junsu,
Sorry, I won’t be home tonight, something came up. See you tomorrow.
Yunho. x’
The smile on Junsu’s face immediately disappears as he scans through the message over and over again. The flowers lay abandoned on the floor, he didn’t even like flowers.
~~~~~~

Junsu screws up the list of ingredients he had readily prepared in order to cook Yunho his favourite meal. Instead he stands in front of the instant ramen shelves skimming through countless flavours of noodles. The night he prepared with his lover would be replaced with the company of his television and whatever drama was on that evening.
Biting his nails, Junsu had brought his decision down to two flavours. Kimchi or seafood?
“A habit will always be a habit I see.”
“Huh?” Junsu turns back to the familiar voice which spoke beside him.
“Biting your nails” the man laughed.
“Hyung!” Junsu replied embarrassed, talking his finger out of his mouth he bows politely at the older man before him.
“Su-ah, it’s been a while. How are you?”
Su, it was a name Junsu hadn’t heard of for years. It was he who called Junsu that, only him. The name he had adopted because it suited Junsu.
“I’m good thanks, how have you been Jaejoong hyung?”
“Busy, really busy. So things are that bad that you’ve resorted to buying instant ramen eh? ” Jaejoong joked.
“...oh erm, I didn’t feel like cooking tonight.” Junsu replied almost too quietly for Jaejoong to hear.
“Tonight? Are you not supposed to be at the dinner at...like now?” Jaejoong asked as he checked his watch.
“How did you know about that?”
“Yoochun invited me; the happy couple wants to discuss wedding plans.”
“Oh...”
“Are you not coming?”
“I can’t...” Junsu didn’t want to face his sisters tonight as he knew it would eventually lead to some sort of tension within the group at the dinner table and he couldn’t cope with it. All eyes on him and silence which spoke millions of words, not tonight.
“Come on! You have to come; you can keep me sane while the loved up pair go crazy over invitation designs or something” Jaejoong grinned.
“I don’t know, I don’t feel up to it tonight.”
“Like I said, YOU can keep me sane.” Jaejoong emphasised his words with pleading eyes.
Junsu smiled at the older man’s attempt and before he knew it, the cups of ramen were taken off his hands, placed back on the shelves and he was nudged out of the store.
“Let’s go, I’ll give you a lift.”
“Hyung, I can’t...”
“So you’re saying you rather stay at home alone with a cup of instant ramen?”
“And who said I’ll be alone?”
“Instant ramen says so...” Jaejoong retorted as he continues to pull Junsu to his form of transportation. “Jump on Su!”
“Wh-what?! There is no way I’m riding that!” Junsu eyes the vehicle with mortification, ‘jump on’? The thought scared him.
“You’re as bad as Yoochun. ‘THAT’ is perfectly safe, look I even provide you with protection you need.”
Jaejoong motions Junsu closer towards the motorcycle, Junsu reluctantly slip on the helmet and follows.
“Now hold on tight, we don’t want you falling off...” Jaejoong simply said as he revs up the engine of his bike.
“HUH?!” Junsu quickly grabs hold of the sides of the older man’s leather jacket, pulling it back tightly making Jaejoong’s arms arc over like a bird.
“Yah, how am I supposed to drive with you tugging away at my jacket” Jaejoong laughs.
“Sorry...”
Junsu transfers his hands onto the metal frame of the seat behind him; the alterations of his hands to find a comfortable position caused Jaejoong to sigh and smile to himself.
“Why are you making things so complicated for yourself?”
Jaejoong grabs Junsu’s hands and wraps them around his waist cupping then tightly at the front.
“Hold tight.”
As Jaejoong speeds off, the grip around his waist tightens. Junsu’s heart felt as though it was going to explode out of his chest any moment now, the blurred images of the city scared him as the speed on their journey increases. Burying his head into Jaejoong’s back, he hoped for the ride to end soon.
At what felt like eternity, Junsu peeps through the gap in his helmet. The streets of Seoul had changed from the last moment he had seen it. The clear blue skies were replaced with the late bloom of purples and oranges, the sun was setting and it was absolutely beautiful. At what felt as the speed of light, the colours mixed into a sight of beauty Junsu had never seen before. A rush of adrenaline overcame his body and he started to relax, the wind kisses against his hand as his grip around Jaejoong loosens he starts to finally enjoy the experience of riding on a motorcycle.

~~~~~~
“After you.”
Holding the glass door opened at the restaurant, Jaejoong waited for Junsu to approach the entrance as he slowly trailed behind.
Jaejoong extended his arm around his shoulder to encourage him through the door.
“Good evening” Jaejoong greeted first to the three people seated at their table. Pulling a vacant seat out and taking the seat beside it, all eyes travelled to the attention of Junsu nervously approaching them.
“I thought you were cooking for him?” Yeonhee asked.
“...Er...”
“Oh, I was able to drag Junsu away for a few hours. I know this favour you want to ask him was important so I’d thought I’ll do my bit and help out.”
The tension amongst Junsu’s family when it came to the subject of Yunho was a tale Jaejoong had heard from Yoochun countless of times. He knew but he never questioned. Reliving tension was what he did best.
“Favour? What favour?”
“Oppa, Yoochun and I need a favour.”
“Me? I have nothing to do with this Junsu.” Yoochun’s outburst resulted in receiving a deadly stare from his fiancée; he instantly shut his mouth and mouthed words of forgiveness to Junsu.
“WE would love it if you can guide us with your amazing dancing skills?”
“My dancing skills? Why?”
“Well we will be having our usual weekly lessons as scheduled with the ballroom dancing teacher, but once a week is not enough. I want it to be perfect.”
“Liyin-ah I do contemporary dance not ballroom.”
“Same thing right? All you need is rhythm.”
“A professional is not enough so she’d thought she bother her busy brother to save money” Yoochun added.
“Shut it you! Junsu Oppa’s a professional too” Liyin beamed.
“Okay, so I’ll be giving you both extra lessons?”
“...not exactly, you’ll be giving all of us an extra lesson. Yeonhee Unnie, Hankyang, Yunho and Jaejoong Oppa too.”
“Whoa! Wait up here. Why did no one consult me on this decision?” Jaejoong suddenly exclaimed in disagreement. “I...I don’t dance.”
“You have to Jaejoong Oppa, you’re the best man.”
“Erm...Yoochun help me out here mate. I DON’T dance!”
“He can’t dance honey” Yoochun told Liyin as Jaejoong nods enthusiastically over his friend’s shoulder.
“You can’t be that bad, and plus that’s what the lessons are for...”
“Bu-...but I...ah! I don’t have a partner” Jaejoong smiled as he thought to have found the perfect excuse.
“Oppa, you’re not getting out of this that easily. You don’t need a partner if we do a rotational dance; there will always be a guy left out during one rotation therefore they can sit out for that. Simple. Please Oppa” Liyin pouted.
Jaejoong looked at Yoochun for help, as the three siblings laugh helpless to the older man.
“Junsu hasn’t agreed yet, he might be too busy” Jaejoong tried with another excuse.
“Never too busy for my beautiful sister.”
“You won’t win against them, give it up already Jae.” Yoochun noted as Jaejoong buries his head into the depth of his arms.
“Great! We’ll start this week then!”
“We can start tomorrow if you want, I’ll give you the basics.”
Everyone agreed in unison except one...
“Jaejoong hyung, is tomorrow alright with you?”
“Er...yeah I guess so” he mumbled half heartedly, Jaejoong didn’t know what he was getting himself into. No actually he did, when he said he couldn’t dance. He really couldn’t, this guy has what people call two left feet, and he was throwing himself into months of embarrassment. He shivers as he thought of the next few gruelling lesson’s that could make him the laughing stock of his department, especially if Yoochun had his way.
“It won’t be bad as you think” Junsu whispered in encouragement.
“I guarantee you it will be worse!” Yoochun whispers in the other ear taunting him.
