Faux NY Times
A few days ago in New York, one million copies of a fake New York Times were given out. The headline was "Iraq War Ends" and it included such stories as "All Public Universities to be Free." It looked exactly like the New York Times, except that it was dated July 4, 2009. Apparently, it was put out by a satirical activist group called the Yes Men (who collaborated with a lot of other organizations). I'm not sure if they put it out to remind the new administration to keep their promises, to provoke discussion, or to live a liberal pipe dream, but either way, I'm enjoying it. But don't take my word for it, check it out.
