Chapter 5
Never in Chinen’s life had he imagined that the English boy of Hey!Say!JUMP that had have hardly any rumours of dating girls would be married, and even more shocking a father of two children. He had always thought that he would be one of the last ones to be in a relationship because of his shy personality and his concentration on work and his senior years of university, yet reality had always chosen to shock him to the point of no recovery.
When the children’s response came because they thought the question originally directed to Suki was to them had shocked Chinen the third time that day. But before his brain had started to recover from all the shock and ask questions, Yuto had started off the questioning, he was going to make her start from the beginning of their story.
“Well, if I have to start fro the very beginning, I think I should take both of you back to when everything started…” Suki said as she shifted her position to sit better, as she was pretty sure that this flashback was going to be a long and detailed one. “My parents died when I was young, so I spent most my life inside the orphanage, but I could still remember parts of how my parents use to treat me. It was like I had just dropped down from heaven and straight below hell, I had lost everything in a night, from then on, People in the orphanage seemed worse, so the nuns and caretakers seems to care for them more…to them, I seem to be the most normal one, the less affected, but It was just a mask, a mask I put up because of the unfamiliar surroundings…I never felt like I was loved enough…until I met Keito” she said before pausing…thinking about her past, it was painful…having to share the love around when you have had it all before…
“ it was one day when one of the Korean entertainment business owners came to our orphanage to adopt some young children to look after and train…and I was the one of the ones chosen to try out for the audition…In the end, only I mad it into the company and started to train before debuting at the age of 16…although I debuted older than most the other groups and other talents, I was pulled together with another three girls that had been chosen from somewhere else or went to audition themselves, and we made a name across Korea in less than a month and our popularity spreaded over Asia soon enough…” She continued before eyeing Yuto and Chinen’s reaction. They seemed very absorbed into her past, but so far, Keito hadn’t come into the picture just yet.
“ It was about a year later that we knew that our company was working with Johnny’s entertainment because JE had wanted to promote more and start sending chosen trainees over to Korea for extended training and our company was interested for us to start working over in Japan and have some experience with Japanese style of music. It was then that our company notified us that they would be helping a Japanese Pop group called Hey!Say!JUMP to promote their new album here in Korea and the groups in our company would be starting to move towards Japan, one of our senior group was the testing group for this project of exchanging groups to each other’s country to build their fame up. It was then I met Keito…” Suki paused, before shifting her position of sitting and continuing.
“Believe it or not, it was love at first sight.” A short sentence came out of her mouth after a slightly too long pause. It was then that Yuto and Chinen had come to realize that indeed their love was something that people believed in the fairy tales, love at first sight. They had never thought about love, they have watched and filmed so many of those lovey dovey scenes, yet they had never believed that real life was like that, someone could give up everything that they had simply because of four letters…L-O-V-E…but reality seems to prove that this is right, Suki was given a chance to be famous, to be loved by so many people yet she risked her career and left her group to marry Keito. Keito had just started to become more and more popular in these three years and yet he had risked losing everything that he had tried to get along all these years and marry Suki…
“Keito left after the promotion and when we had just started to go out, it was then that I realise that long distance relation wasn’t going to work…and that I was seriously in love with, too in love that I had to go…Our group came over to Japan for promotions a few months later, it was then that we had decided that we were going to getting married. Our companies knew that we were just a little too close, they saw this coming all the way…they didn’t make much of a stop to our relationship, yet they did tell us that we were too young, too young to understand what love was and let alone get married…but seeing that we looked too determined to stop, they let us be…then Hiro and Mika came after a year of marriage and now they’re turning three this year…” Suki had stopped now, waiting for questions from Chinen and Yuto, she was sure that they didn’t catch everything…
“Where’s your group now?” Chinen asked, only a few words that he could possibly produce after the shocks that he were receiving.
“Still in Korea.” Suki came with one reply.
“But didn’t you say that your company had started to bring groups over to Japan? Some of our seniors had gone to train in Korea, even we have gone for promotion and short training for three months…” Chinen asked again…
“Because our company only agrees to send groups and individuals of over three years of experience to Japan, this is our forth year…so maybe some time soon…I’m not that sure…” Suki explained, receiving an understanding nod from both Chinen and Yuto.
“Why have both of you decided to tell me…” Yuto asked…he didn’t understand why they exposed their relationship to him…
“We were preparing to let the whole of JUMP know soon because we had only wanted to hide our marriage because we didn’t want our kids to be under the camera and hiding with us from reporters but they are starting school soon. Keito had always wanted to tell you, because he told me that both of you had promised each other that no secrets shall be kept, and he was sure that you were hiding nothing, so he was feeling rather guilty…” Suki explained, looking at Yuto, hoping him to understand that Keito had no intension to hide it forever, just to find the right time and say it in the right way. “ I was sure that it wasn’t the best way for Chinen to find out…” she said as she turned to Chinen who was too bust digesting all the things that he had just heard…
“no…it’s alright…I’d rather know earlier, and it would be easier for both of you, if you guys have work...me and Yuu chan can help! And I’m sure I’d be less shocked when the news comes out to the rest of JUMP.” Chinen assured Suki that it was alright before he went on. “Well, from now on, Yuto and I can always come over and play with your kids right?”
“of course! They would love to play with both of you!” Suki replied.
Then Hiro and Mika came down the stairs with Keito behind them….
“Wow..bro what happened to you?!” Yuto yelled as he stood up examining Keito. His shirt was out of shape and big, looking like it had been stretched in all sorts of way along with paint all over him.
“You wouldn’t want to experience what I have just experienced…” Keito replied as he walked over and pulled a chair to sit down on. “I can’t believe that they’re still so energetic…” Keito sighed as he looked at Chinen and Yuto…
“Mummy! Daddy won’t let us put make up on him!” Miki said as she pouted with a nodding Hiro in the back.
“How did you get the make up thing?!” Suki asked as she looked over the half dead Keito and the confusing Yuto and Chinen.
“Well when we were watching the behind the scenes of concerts and makings, Daddy was sitting still and there was someone else drawing on him…I asked Mummy and she told me it was called make up and it makes people look better…so I was trying to make mummy impressed with a prettier daddy…”
“Hiro…you don’t do makeup with paint…and Keito doesn’t need any…” Chinen said as he tried hard to swallow down his laughter.
“But then why does Daddy need it on TV?” Mika asked this time…leaving the four of them speechless for the amount of questions they have that does not need to be answered in this point in time…
“Because Daddy’s work needs it…but he doesn’t need it at home…now say sorry to Daddy, you ruined his shirt and… well… his face as well…” Suki said as a roar of laughter broke out and Keito’s face went black…
“Sorry Daddy…for ruining your face and shirt…” Mika and Hiro said as they looked at Keito with watery eyes, making Keito unable to be angry at them…
“No it’s alright…just remember makeup isn’t paint…and don’t just draw on anyone…” Keito replied…he didn’t know whether to laugh or not…Suki was just plain funny…his face wasn’t ruined…it was just covered with all sorts of different colour paint…
“Don’t worry…we can always fix ruined faces!” Yuto laughed as he received sharp glares from Keito…
“I’ll take the kids up for shower, go wash yourself as well…Yuto, Chii, will both of you mind wait for us for half an hour? We’ll go out for dinner…I don’t think you would like my horrible cooking, and plus, we’ve got nothing here either…or al least not that I remember…” Suki said as she pulled Hiro and Mika towards the bathroom upstairs and Keito went into the bathroom inside their bedroom.
“Sure…we need some time to digest the…information…” Chinen replied with a smile…
