When the device turns on, it shares a nice little image of Jack in bed with Mercy curled up next to him, both asleep. After about a minute, Jack's eyes open and he sits up, unaware at first that he has company. Stiffly, he turns and notices the girl next to him, his expression going from surprised to gentle to unreadable. However, his expression

Jack! I - you're awake!
[Her startled expression is quickly turned to one of happiness and then embarrassment as she realizes he's caught her sleeping on the bed to, well, let's say to watch over him.]
I... should go and... let you settle in or something.
[Retreat - or escape, more properly - would be easier if she weren't on the wrong side of the bed from the door.]

I like what you've done with the place. [He motions to the sheets and the cooking ware.]
How long have you been....laying there?

[Is that an answer? Funny, it doesn't seem like an answer. There is a fair amount of blushing, though she's trying not to do that either.]

[He considers her a moment before a small smile breaks his expression.]
You don't have to apologize...I don't really mind. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I appreciated the company...even if you obviously got fed up with me.

He moves closer to her, placing a hand on her cheek.]
I might be mortal now, but I'll always come back. Maybe all this sleeping is just my body catching up on 200 years of...well, not.

I just... I worried.

[Gently, he places a hand on her cheek and leaned down, placing a kiss on her lips with little hesitation.]

[ooc: I have been bashed with Snow-tober. I have power, but no internet and heaven only knows when it will be back, so if I don't respond promptly, that's why!]

Glad you liked it...

Sorry, sorry, it's just - that was amazing, but you -
[She made a finger wiggling gesture toward his upper lip. Note: She made not the slightest effort to move away from him.]

....did you draw on my face, Mercy? [Said with a slight smile like he's trying to be serious.]
Reply
I have to admit I did.
[Her voice was still a little breathless.]
First thing I did actually.
Reply
Yeah, well, I probably deserved it. I keep leaving you alone...and I'm sorry for that.
