New Year's Res and Other Stuff

Wow, lots of great stuff happened in the last couple weeks. For starters, I lost 9 1/2 pounds in one week using Weight Watchers. I'm actually really enjoying the program, it's very flexible and fulfilling. For example, I was able to go to the movies (to see Hostel, if you were wondering) and have a small popcorn as long as I was good for the rest of the day. That, and I've taken up tennis classes again, so I'm getting some more exercise. I really feel good, and I have newfound energy.

I also won my Online Iron Chef match against SSJ, which was surprising and exciting. I really gave it my best, and I also lucked out in that the song was somewhat upbeat and suited my source well. Of course, his video was also very good, and it was certainly a close call. So my next round will be against Zarxrax, which will be a challenge (to say the least). It should be a good match, though.

The weekend before last was the Oshogatsu Festival, which was also fun. Hung out with the Ronin crew, along with a few OA folks from up north. Followed that up with dinner at a sushi bar and a few rounds of gaming at Boomers. Good times.

Aside from the start of classes, these past weeks have been great. Here's hoping it's a good sign for the rest of the year.
