[Well. It's been a while. San missed all the hubbub and craziness going on in the village. ...She was a little busy, when viewed a certain way.

At the moment it's hard to view her at all, though. She's in the village, but keeping to the shadows, and may very well be crouched beside your house right now. If you do notice her, she's in the sundress, ( Read more... )

[Well, Ginko's heading back to the forest after being in town for such a long time. Things are quiet enough outside, aaand strange enough in his head to balance that ratio into something uncomfortable.

But... the sight of San-- or what he thinks is the sight of her-- would be more than enough to halt him. Because the last time he saw her, she wasn't in good shape.]

[Ginko would need to notice her nearby, or hear her - she can't mask the noises - because there's no way she's letting anyone see her if she can help it.]

[he does, though it takes him a moment-- and he stops in his tracks. She's at a little distance from him, and he wonders how close she'll let him get. Is she... back to normal again?

No... there's the flash of metal at her wrists.]

[She hasn't spotted him yet. It's taking all of her effort to stay in the shadows, with her back against a wall and hands limp on her knees. To stay kneeling, instead of just falling over]

[Ginko approaches, then-- slowly, though.] Oi, San. [he pauses in his steps when he speaks.]

[A voice. Her head snaps up to look at him. There's fear there, but she isn't looking to run. Yet.]

[he repeats the same actions as before, coming a little closer and sitting so that he isn't threateningly looming-- and reaching out one hand] Maaah... I thought maybe they'd taken you again to put things right. [his words might not have meaning-- but the voice is low and soothing, as he'd speak to a patient]

[It looks almost compulsive when San shifts forward. This is familiar, in a way that nothing else has been. She just blinks a few times - Ginko can probably see the wheels turning in her head - and then slowly lifts one hand and holds it out in return]

[a slight smile.

And again, he repeats the same action-- not nearly so quick as Katara's work, but water from the air gently pushes the iron away from skin-- and healing works with a slight glow, in concert.]

[This is probably the first time she's looked anything other than scared. Her whole self relaxes. But she can't really move from where she is. The best she can do is to be on all fours, but looking at Ginko without too much fear.]

[Ginko nods, as if confirming something.] Ah... so you do remember a little, neh? [going on in the same quiet voice, shifting to move forward a little-- reaching to heal what he can of the very worst injuries, and that only so they close enough not to be dangerous.] But what did they do to you, I wonder.

[What, indeed.

San drops her head and closes her eyes. It's not exactly an expression of trust, though. More like, she can't take the stress of being scared anymore. Whatever he's going to do, let him do it.]

[The "what" is only more healing, for now-- in as many places as he can find injury-- though those lash marks seems strangely resistant, and make his teeth grit with the twistedness of it all. He'll pause when most of the superficial damage seems soothed-- but she looks sick, too and lean on one hand to rest and ponder those thick iron shackles.]

[She looks sick because she is. Sick and starving. But she's in a lot less pain, even if her hands aren't free. Even if it's hard to lift them the way she's doing now and put them back down on top of the hand Ginko's leaning on]

[he blinks a little, and looks at her hands-- gaze very soft with worry, a contrast to the hard line of his mouth. Then he looks at her face, questioning.] You probably haven't eaten in too long, either, neh?

[The words don't make sense. Facial expressions and actions are what she responds best to. ...Which makes Ginko a little hard to interpret, as he tends to wear the same expression in many different situations. She looks confused]
