I (Partially) Give In
It seems that, over the past few years, livejournal has become the trusted keeper of semi-personal life updates for most of my friends. I guess one of the big social networking sites had to win eventually, for the same reasons that ebay continues to rule online auctions. I just wish our online agora didn't place so much personal information in the care of a corporation, or for that matter, anyone who isn't accountable to us.
Okay, ebay. Okay, paypal. Okay, livejournal. I give in, for now. I don't like being excluded from the private posts my friends make, so I'm finally signing up, despite knowing you will collect information on me from this day forward. Please don't use it for evil, or get bought by anyone else who will.
As of tonight, I finally have a livejournal, though I'm still reluctant to post anything to it.
