Lauren and I were English poem buddies for our extra credit project and wrote some awesome poems. Lauren wrote, "The Passionate Disco Dancer to his Hippie Girl", and I wrote the reply.

The Passionate Disco Dancer to his Hippie Girl
By Lauren

Come dance with me and be my hippie,
And I assure you, your heart will be zippy,
We will hang out in all the disco halls,
And even frolic through shopping malls,

I'll whisk you off to the tattoo man,
And we'll get tattoos of your hippie van,
After the tattoo, man you'll look hot,
Then afterwards we can smoke some pot,

You'll be my queen on the Disco floor,
You'll use your grooves to stop the war,
I'll assist you in your quest for peace,
We'll bring down the man; stop the police,

A giant cardboard smiley face,
To show you my love is larger than space,
Your awesome medallion will never fade,
I picked it myself; it's made of faux jade,

You'll be the greatest wife of all,
Your face so beautiful, like a disco ball,
Your hair as long as the word Mississippi,
Come dance with me and be my hippie.

We'll be the grooviest couple in town,
With my bellbottoms and your hippie gown,
Running through wildflowers, happy and skippy,
Please come with me and be my hippie.

The Hippie Girl to the Passionate Disco Dancer
By Me

If disco halls and shopping malls
Wouldn’t get destroyed by wreaking balls
Maybe then would my heart be zippy
And I’d come with you and be thy hippie

What if the tattoo man is drunk
And tattoos on my arm a rabid skunk
And what has drug-ed taught you
We’ll just get high and think we’re in Peru

My grooves may indeed stop the war
But yours would just upset the Marine Corps
You say you’ll assist me in my quest for peace
But I know you’ll be at home watching Grease

Surely you think space be small
For your smiley face is barer than dry wall
If jade were true and so were you
Then I’d dance with you and be thy hippie

Your nose is surely longer than my hair
Or else such drivel you wouldn’t declare
I hope that disco ball will blind you, Billy
And you’ll find a tree to be your hippie

If ever my gown was shown in this town
Trust me, your bellbottoms would not be around
And you certainly would not be happy and skippy
If, God forbid, I’d be thy hippie

Oh, and btw... BUY THE BLACK PARADE! I can't believe Hanna Montana has more fans!
