Auction: Science Fantasy magazine 1963, Volume 20 issue 60
The magazine is in pretty good condition, given that it's 47 years old! I'll try to post a picture when I figure out how (all help gratefully received, this is my first ever LJ post). (OK, third. But this time I hope it's in the right place)
Now, why am I selling some old magazine?
Because it contains the story The Hades Business, the first ever published story by 14 year old schoolboy Terry Pratchett (now Sir Terry Pratchett, OBE, holderr of at least six honorary doctorates, creator of the Discworld series and so many other wonderful worlds. It isn't a Discworld story but it is well worth reading!)
I'm in the UK, but I will post it anywhere in the world (that accepts postal deliveries. Apologies if you live in the Mariana Trench) at my expense.
Start bid: this magazine doesn't come up for sale often, but I reckon a fair sale price is about $150/£90 so I'd like to see a start of $50 and if it doesn't make $80 I'll donate $100 to Emily to buy it back!
