OH. MY. GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David is coming to visit me in Colorado this weekend!!!!!!
I can barely stand the excitement! No, I cannot stand the excitement. How the hell am I going to sleep until he gets here?
It's a very romantic story. Ready?
All this week we've been sad about not being together and everything per usual, and David was trying to cheer me/us up by making plans that we will cook a dinner together while on webcam and eat it, so we can be "together" on Valentine's Day. It's been a very difficult week because we are missing each other like crazy. Valentine's Day is almost incidental, but it did make the distance seem even more vast.
So David told me he had a meeting on Friday morning and then he would spend the rest of the day in town, and we would speak when I got off work at 23:15. That made me sad, but then he also said "We'll spend the whole weekend together." That of course means that we would spend hours on Skype talking to each other. It sucks, but it's all we have so we have to deal.
This morning I had to go to the dentist at 07:30 to have my last work re-done since the idiot hygenist screwed it up. (I'm currently super numb.) But I think they did a better job this time. They were careful to do so, including putting mouth guards and tons of cotton in my mouth to make this filling be done correctly. All of this was NOT fun. I stopped at a Safeway on my way home to get some food in the house and then came home. Actually, at Safeway there was a guy ahead of me buying V-day stuff for his girlfriend and sort of bitching about how he had to do it and how expensive it was... so after he left the clerk and I talked a bit about V-day. At the end the he said "Have a good Valentines Day!" and I replied "Thank you. I'll try. My boyfriend is in England so we have a 7 hour time difference to deal with." ALSO, while I was shopping I really thought to myself with intensity "I wish David were here."
I was just writing an email to David about my dental experience when he called.
I heard a lot of background noise and thought he was in a restaurant. He asked me how my appointment went and then said "My flight's been delayed. I was supposed to fly out of here by now."
He's a joker (if you can imagine that) so I wasn't really taking that literally... and then he kept saying "No really, my flight was delayed." Finally it dawned on me that he really meant it, literally. I was practically speechless and in shock. I said "Weren't you in a meeting? You never told me about a flight" He innocently replied "Oh, didn't I tell you?"
He was supposed to fly to Atlanta, GA but there's something wrong with the plane and so it's been delayed. Yikes. Please have a very safe trip here, my darling!
The original plan HE had was to land in Colorado Springs today around 23:00 and take a taxi and meet me when I got off work. But now he won't land in Colorado Springs until around noon on Saturday. But he will be landing in Denver at 10:07 so I'm going to drive up to Denver and meet him there. Hey, our minutes together are super precious so I will definitely do that. That will give us time to be together, hug and kiss, and then we'll have the 1.5 hour drive back to the Springs together.
He didn't mention when he would be flying back. (Don't want to think about that!) But even just 1 day together would be amazing and help. Saying I'm so happy and excited doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling!
THIS IS SO INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! I love him so very, very, very much!
